CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thanks for the post and for the prayers.
I came back from Norfolk yesterday. It's been a very busy week trying to sort everything out.
I now have a date for the funeral and have been having a chat with the rector at the local church to sort out an order of service.
Came home to receive lots of cards including one from the hospital chaplaincy.

Not being played and no doubt full of dust. The strings get full of dust also.
It may be a problem with the tabs internally, or a pencil stuck inside, even honey etc.
Anything can happen to pianos ...

Oh! I suppose that would explain why about half of the keys don't have a strong note then and most of those don't even want to bounce back up. I would always take off the front of the piano and have a look to see if there is an easy answer. and then, yes a professional to put it right, give a quote on any maintenance work required and tuning. Occasionally a 'viking funeral' is the kindest answer and an investment in a new instrument.

Yes, I suspect past being ready, although this one (my late Mother's) is one those 'player pianos' with a few dozen selections on rolls. I noticed they don't bring all that much on the web.
