Keep up the great work!!!

In order to move from plateaus, you need to vary your workouts, or your food. I do a zigzag type diet...which means 2-3 days in a row I eat fewer calories (like 500 or so less) and the 4th day I eat about what it takes to maintain my weight. It sort of makes my body think I'm not cutting calories, allowing me to burn fat. That's in it in a nutshell, but I'm sure there are others in this forum that can give you a more scientific definition.

Also, varying your workouts can help. You could pick up the pace of your walking to speed walking the whole time, or you can do intervals. 1 min. at a brisk walk, and 1 min. at as fast of walk as you can...almost jogging....do this for the duration of your walk, whatever that will be.

Lifting weights is also another great way to help your metabolism. If you can build some muscle, this will help with the metabolism because it requires more energy at rest to sustain muscle than it does fat.

I just started exercising again. I lost 5 lbs last week, but I stopped losing weight this week and just started slimming down instead. I run 2 miles a few times a week and when I'm not doing that, I do what's called "hot" yoga. It's yoga in a really hot room like a sauna. Has anybody else heard of that before? It's working great so far. Thank ya LORD!
