in bw haben die herbstferien angefangen. außerdem war langes wo-ende weil am 31 is ja reformationstag und am 1. allerheiligen. halt je nachdem wo du in d wohnst hast am montag oda dienstag frei gehabt. da ich aba montag keine vorlesungen hatte und bw nun mal katholisch is musst ich erst mittwoch wieder in die fh. na ja dumm nur das mir in thüringen protestantisch sind. da konnt ich nix mehr einkaufen weil alle geschäfte zu hatten

5. that last part is WAS? : Du bist catholic, but because Thüringen ist protestantisch, the stores were all closed? - is that?? what you said, Maria

Allerheiligen ist der all saint day....

Ich hatte Montag auch Uni - obwohl ich evangelisch bin und vom Gesetz her daheimbleiben dürfte...aber wenn die Kurse trotzdem laufen versäum ich zuviel .

In der Schule wars noch schlimmer - da haben sie immer eine Schularbeit auf den 31. gelegt weil dann die Evangelischen kommen mussten....

also hier die erklärung ich schreib alle snochmal auf englisch dann verstehts jeder auch unsere australischen freunde

jep normaly it's a 5 h drive but i needed 10 coz in the state where i live (baden württemberg = bw) the fall vacation beginn. so everyone was on the street.
on october 31 it's reformationstag (it's a protestant thing. that day martin luther put his 95 Thesen (english ???) on that door in wittenberg. so in those states in ger which are protestant they have no school, uni at that day. they don't have to work and everything is closed. so you can't go shopping. and on november 1st it's all saints. that's for the catholics. and in those states which are catholic they have a free day. so thuringia is protestant. coz luther was from thuringia and all that reforms which ended in the splitting of the 2 churches started here. and baden württemberg (BW) is catholic.
and fasnacht is in february.

i hope you understand everything. please correct mistakes. i mean grammer things

no, coz we haven't started yet. we will record the whole thing on thursday coz our speakers have time there. and then i have to edit the whole thing so i'll need to the end of november until everything is finished. but thx again for your help. we gave our speakers the text you corrected.

Well, wir wundern uns, weil ~
1. Es ist nicht schritten wie 'English-speaking' menschen schreiben; is das OK mit deinen Lehrern?
und
2. Sweety didn't wanna make too many changes, ('cuz neither of us
