• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

well who smokes cannabis here? I think it has very many medical uses and can be a relaxing good and beneficial thing, especially if smoked through a vaporizer, because there are no harmful health effects that way. Does anyone out there smoke weed and still worship and glorify Christ? I think it can be done. I think I can smoke weed 2-3 times a week and still live a life like Christ.

Discuss.

The problem with weed is that it is still illegal. If you purchase weed from a dealer you are supporting an illegal drug trade that so many people can be negatively affected by. Now if you grow your own, I guess that is a different story but I know people that are cronic smokers and it does affect their drive and ambititon. It also decreases sperm count and causes erectile disfunction. I'm not saying it is bad but I dont think a person should drink 2-3 times a week because that starts verging on alcoholism.

It is better to be able to get peace from prayer and other sober things. I'm no holy roller either- take this advice from someone who has done prison time for marijuana cultivation. You cant be growing weed as a business and be living a true CHristian life. At least not at this time, it doesnt work. I can tell you I will never touch the stuff as long as I live. I dont think that it should necessisarily be illegal but I dont make the laws- I just have to live by them. Weed is no good- for real!!

well, i still think weed can have some beneficial uses. In Christianity, it is vital to learn and live by what is true. I think it can be true that smoking weed may further your like in a positive, spiritual way. And if I had to grow my own just for me, that is fine.

I don't know. I dont think it is any worse than alcohol and actually think alcohol is much worse but I dont think that having a beer here or there is necessarily wrong but I dont think that it can benefit you in any spiritual positive way.

The way I have ever felt drunk or high, while it may have felt great, it wasnt true emotion and feeling. It was an intoxicated emotion or feeling. I am just over all of that. I want sober reality, the REAL truth. I experimented with alot of different drugs while I was in college besides weed and i just discovered that while it may feel great to be high- I'd be happier just knowing I'm happy as a sober person.

Hope this helps.

  • Hey everyone we in Recovery are not here to trying to put a damper on discussion but we cannot allow for the advocation of certain subjects and the endorsement of certain subjects to remain and one of them is Drug Use. Please be careful in the future of how you post about this subject.
