Weather down Bev's way!?!

Poor Bev!!! The weather down her way just doesn't seem to be giving her a break!!! For the last couple of weeks, there have been storms after storms after - you guessed it - storms, and now I look at the weather warnings for Aussieland and there is an 'Extreme Fire Danger' warning issued for the Mallee region of Vic!!!! One minute rain and hail and now fire!!!

God please keep Bev safe!!!

PS. I can't believe it - I just started my first ever thread!!!

Thanks Sue ... yep ... we have had a torrid time alright! And, now, the country if it starts to burn, well, not nice....
Storms wrecked alot of the crops too. But, we go on. Pretty tough we are!
But, I would appreciate prayers for us here. We are making light of it as we are used to toughing it, but it's starting to get a bit much.

Yes! We need the Fire Prayer thread again this year! Just remembered it!
Today has been shocking, and if we get winds, and if fire breaks out ... whew ...don't want to think of it. Fire breaks have been ploughed everywhere.

Father, I'm praying right now that Bevvie receive a supernatural hedge of protection when the fire or storm hits near her place. I lift her up for your safekeeping and comfort and calm. I'm pleading her case, that you show her mercy, lovingkindness and strength. This I ask in Jesus' name. AMEN!

Is it like really really really hot now? Or sort of hot?

Yesterday was shocking Sharky, very hot, that makes it even drier.. Today we have winds. If fire breaks out today ... they'd have a job if it gets into the mallee bushland.
If it hits the farmlands, that means alot of work to stop it as they wouldnt be able to back break.
But, the worst is to come.

We had Chritmas at one of my sisters house a few years back and she lives at the top of a valley, we could see the smoke in her back yard then the flames raging up the valley... oooohh very freaky!!!

We had a fairly peaceful and mild today in western Sydney thankfully...but still keeping the mallee folk in prayer, Bev. I wonder how extreme the other end of teh scale is in the US with their snow storms and blizzards.

its freezing in upstate ny -21C & the real feel temp is -28C. i froze when i was out this morning...and i had 2 pairs of pants & 2 sweaters & my coat & mittens on...had my hoodie sweater on to keep my head warm...works better than just a hat. i hope it warms up soon. its too cold & my nose kept freezing i think i want to move south. i forgot...we had a snowstorm yesterday...got 3 inches or so of snow. some of the schools up here are closed/delayed today cuz of how cold it is.

Racheal, I've never seen so much ploughing and mowing here in my life! Even I've done my bit!!
It is sooo scary when that blue smoke is in the air. I couoldn't count the amount of fires I've fought in my life. And, if the Adelaide Mountains are on fire, we can smell the smoke. It's frightening.

The weather was great here yesterday in the Riverina. Fine and high 20s.

We've had no call-outs with the Rural Fire Service so far.
