In the last days perilous times will come.
That day is today.
We can see it all around us.
And we have been since Christ. But that still doesn’t change the context that Paul was writing his last letter to Timothy, and the letter was to him. It’s completely unbelievable that Paul wrote that to Timothy in hoping that his letter would be preserved for two thousand years. In the last days perilous times will come.

I honestly dont think he'll come back in our life time.
Imagine living during the holocaust. I bet they thought the same thing!
Same can be said all through history, right back to the time of the Apostles. Wars etc etc etc..
Hi everyone! I hope everyone is having a good day so far!
In Matthew, Jesus states that there will be many coming and saying they are Jesus in the last days.
Then, as he talks about the last days, he seems to tell them what's going to happen in the order its going to happen.
If we look and see there's not a lot of people saying they are Jesus and the fact that Jesus tells us the order all these things will happen, that should let you know that we are NOT in the last days yet.
Think about it from a religious and moral perspective. Things are even worse now than ever before.
Still written to Timothy for Timothy. In regards to 2 Timothy 3:1-9:
2 Timothy 3:13 says,
“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”
No, they aren’t.Think about it from a religious and moral perspective. Things are even worse now than ever before.
So do you think we are in the last days? How much more relevant is Revelation now than it was 40 years ago?Says you. I'm almost 70. I've seen the rot that has set into the world over the last 50 years or so especially. There are way too many people for the resources available for a start. There is already conflict over land and water in some countries. There is no way to increase amount of inhabitable land to keep up with the birth rate. Something has to give.
Understand that the last days will be dangerous times. People will be selfish and love money. They will be the kind of people who brag and who are proud. They will slander others, and they will be disobedient to their parents. They will be ungrateful, unholy, unloving, contrary, and critical. They will be without self-control and brutal, and they won’t love what is good. ...2 Timothy 3.Hi everyone! I hope everyone is having a good day so far!

It reflects the attitudes of people of Timothy’s day. That’s why Paul wrote that to him. And yes, we are closer. But we are still very far off.Understand that the last days will be dangerous times. This does not describe people as a whole in the 1950's. Or even the 1970's. It completely reflects on the attitudes of people today and this was a sign of end times. We are seeing the earthquakes and natural disasters with hurricanes and global warming. People are having Rapture dreams like never before in history. Here is a statement from Captain Obvious( me). We are closer than we have ever been before....

And there is not total disregard for human life now? It's called abortion. The golden age of the west has long since past. There never were any good old days, but the main difference now is technology. We can kill and maim with weapons not even dreamed of 200 years ago. We have finally created a weapon that could send the world back to the stone age. We are polluting, populating and pillaging the earth at a rate that cannot be sustained. There has always been good and evil in the world. I see evil prevailing in ways that I never imagined in a democracy like Australia. Slavery? Still around. Brothels? Legalised in Australia. If this is the best 50 years of all time, then bring on the return of Christ. But the last 50 years may have been the best 50 years of all time. If you were over 1000 years old, you may have been there to see all the genocides that have taken place, the old brothels, the slaves, and total disregard for human life that existed en masse before this generation.
40 years ago, there were fewer people. The Western world was still basically democratic. China was little threat to the stability of the world. There was no Al Qaeda or any of its offshoots. Iran was not making nuclear weapons to destroy Israel. North Korea had no nukes, neither did India or Pakistan. Lebanon was at peace, Libya likewise. So do you think we are in the last days? How much more relevant is Revelation now than it was 40 years ago?
No, the signs aren’t there. You need to put down the newspaper. Christ’s kingdom will continue to grow. When He returns, He will return to a victorious kingdom. Like the planted mustard seed, it will grow into a magnificent tree where birds can perch. We are a long way off.40 years ago, there were fewer people. America used to be the bastion of democracy and free speech. Not any more. It's headed towards Marxist socialism. It's by degrees, but that's how democracy is undermined. I don't know how long we have. All I'm saying is that the signs are there.
Honestly, I could care less. I'm 70 in a couple of months. I'm glad I won't be around to see the catastrophes that precede the kingdom of God. The church is going backwards, not forwards. I do believe that the Lord Jesus is building His church and that she will prevail. I find it hard to see how that will include Christians in the Western world, who resemble Laodicea. No, the signs aren’t there. You need to put down the newspaper.
