Waves?!?

....Hiya guys,
my dad has just reinstalled windows xp on my laptop, but the only problem is...that when I move the the bar on the right of the screen, my screen laggs(looks like waves)I think it might be something to do with any motion on screen...is there any way of solving this?

Your video card drivers might not be the right ones or up to date... Try getting the latest video card drivers from your manufacturer's website.
