Candle
Into the night it shines its light nary a crack of flame white and bright. Candlelight from a single source lights up the house. Thick wick and large flame enough to read by. I move it by its handle to the kitchen then I have my wife grill a steak. Two steaks and beans from the refrigerator. Now we are ready to eat. My darling says the prayer by candlelight the steak is still hot the beans are not but still good. We read our mail by candlelight just some bills and an oversight. Our candle is true just like new few will rue the day they purchased one. Moving our candle to the bedroom and setting it on a shelf. We lie in bed and talk about our day today. Then so sleepy I blow the candle out.
