Was the first day of the week also called the Lord's day?

The book of Acts gives examples of Sunday as their day of assembly.

But that is only referring to one time, not that it was a regular event. In fact, there is only one other time in scripture when there was a meeting mentioned having taken place on the first of the week, ( John 20:19). It has the disciples together in a closed room after the crucifixion because they were afraid of their fellow Jews. Nothing is said about a worship service or day of rest. And it couldn't have been in recognition of the resurrection because at that time they didn't even believe that the resurrection had taken place.

Good point. Since biblical days begin in the evening, this was a Saturday evening meeting, probably because they were long winded from earlier in the day during the Sabbath which scripture shows the apostles observed every Sabbath. Acts 18:4

Both John 20:19 and Acts 20:7 say it was the first day of the week, so I wonder why you say it was a 7th day of the week meeting?

Days begin in the evenings in biblical times. Just like the Sabbath begins Friday evening ends on Saturday at sunset. The first day evening is Saturday night,

John 20:19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”

That was the day of Jesus' resurrection, not an assembly of the church.

The Lord's Day as Sunday in not in the gospels.
There were no assemblings for worship before Jesus' ascension.

The following are pretty clear:

Ac 20:7 - "On the first day of the week when we were gathered together to break bread."
They assembled on Sunday for the Lord's Day breaking of bread.

Rev 1:10 - "On the Lord's Day I was in the Spirit. . ."

1 Co 16:2 - "On the first day of every week, each of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collection will have to be made."
Since it was brought on Sunday, probably it was collected at worship service, not at home.
Justin Martyr indicates in his Apology, 1.67-68 that in his time (150 A.D.), offerings were brought to the churches on Sunday.

The seventh day is Saturday.
So, if Saturday is the seventh day of the week, how can the first day of the week be a Saturday night, a night that has been over some 12 hours by the end of Saturday at sunset? And for that matter, how can the first day of the week consist of any part of the seventh day of the week in the first place?

In biblical times the days start in the evenings. Lev 23:32 Gen 1

Saturday starts on Friday night at sunset and Sundays start on Saturday nights at sunset And so forth.

The text says it was the evening part of the first day which is Saturday night.

The Didache was written sometime in the mid to late 1st century. It is referenced by a number of church fathers and was listed as canonical in the 4th century. The text was lost however until the 19th century.

So even very early on, the early Christians were starting to meet for a Sunday service with the Eucharist.

Chapter 14:1
Κατὰ κυριακὴν δὲ κυρίου συναχθέντες κλάσατε ἄρτον καὶ εὐχαριστήσατε,
But every Lord's day gather yourselves together, and break bread, and give thanksgiving

St Justin Martyr, in his 1st Apology to the Emperor in the mid 2nd century

And we afterwards continually remind each other of these things. And the wealthy among us help the needy; and we always keep together; and for all things wherewith we are supplied, we bless the Maker of all through His Son Jesus Christ, and through the Holy Ghost. And on the day called Sunday, all who live in cities or in the country gather together to one place, and the memoirs of the apostles or the writings of the prophets are read, as long as time permits; then, when the reader has ceased, the president verbally instructs, and exhorts to the imitation of these good things. Then we all rise together and pray, and, as we before said, when our prayer is ended, bread and wine and water are brought, and the president in like manner offers prayers and thanksgivings, according to his ability, and the people assent, saying Amen; and there is a distribution to each, and a participation of that over which thanks have been given, and to those who are absent a portion is sent by the deacons. And they who are well to do, and willing, give what each thinks fit; and what is collected is deposited with the president, who succours the orphans and widows and those who, through sickness or any other cause, are in want, and those who are in bonds and the strangers sojourning among us, and in a word takes care of all who are in need. But Sunday is the day on which we all hold our common assembly, because it is the first day on which God, having wrought a change in the darkness and matter, made the world; and Jesus Christ our Saviour on the same day rose from the dead. For He was crucified on the day before that of Saturn (Saturday); and on the day after that of Saturn, which is the day of the Sun, having appeared to His apostles and disciples, He taught them these things, which we have submitted to you also for your consideration.

I'm sorry, but I still don't understand how you can say that "...it was the evening part of the first day which is Saturday night".
Perhaps this will help.
When does the Sabbath start according to scripture? Or the evening part of the seventh day.

If, the evening and the morning were the second day, whatever, then the day begins at sundown.

So the sabbath has always started on Friday evening.
Exactly.

So what is the evening part of the first day, if the evening part of the seventh day is Friday evening.
