Thank you Royal and Red. I'm not very forum savvy and really don't know if my thoughts on this are really even relevant. But here it is. John 10:26;30. M. Henry's well known commentary and this bible that has his notes in it are different. He uses the words "if you persist in it". In his notes,
he said" You are not designed to be my followers, you are not of those that were given me by my Father to be brought to grace and glory. You are not of the number of the elect, and your unbelief, if you persist in it, will be a certain evidence that you are not. To whom God never gives the Grace of Faith, were never designed for heaven and happiness."

Well, I have to say this has got me scratching my him head.

Can you scope this out a bit. What specific verses with the specific commentary?

Frankly what is above is Calvinist.

Matthew Henry's statement, "You are not of the number of the elect; and your unbelief, if you persist in it, will be a certain evidence that you are not."
is a Calvinistic interpretation of Jesus words in verse 26, "you do not believe because you are not of My sheep."
There is Calvinism and then there is hyper-Calvinism. Hyper-Calvinism minimizes the fact that God uses means to accomplish His ends. But healthy Calvinism recognizes, for example, that God saves the elect by means of persuading them of their need to turn from their damning unbelief.
