Was Jesus "Woke"?

Jesus was Jesus. He does not fit into these modern terms. Jesus was both traditional, but also revolutionary.

If you mean "God loves you just the way you are" no. Jesus was hanging out with sinners to get them to repent. To repent means to stop doing what they had been doing.

I am tired of people putting Jesus in a category, or degrade His Image. Wokeism is stupid and is evil, nothing good will come of it.

if we must put Jesus in a category it is this one: GOD!

This misses so much. The times crowds moved to stone Jesus was when He proclaimed Himself equal to God the Father. His listeners knew exactly what he was saying. They realized this when He forgave sins, saying among themselves who but God can forgive sins? Jesus forgave the woman caught in adultery, but he also said something else "Go, and sin no more." That part tends to be conveniently forgotten.

Jesus wasn't woke, but neither was He Republican.

I take this as asking 'was Jesus closer to being a secular liberal leftist, than a conservative?'. If so the answer is no.

Respect: From the Latin res meaning "thing" and specere meaning "to look at". That is, to see at a thing as it actually is. Jesus sees us as we are, fallen and in dire need of His grace. The connotation that respect means accepting as well as seeing what He beholds would be an error.

It seems to me that Woke is a thing of saying there have been groups of people who have been treated very badly and they need to be treated right.

And of course this is true of black people. They have been treated badly, but not because of doing what is evil.

But there are ones who have done what is wrong and then they have been treated in an evil way because they have done what is evil. And Woke is correct to say they must not be treated badly.

After all, Jesus has been compassionate with evil doers; Jesus died on the cross for any and all evil people > we all were born wrong and therefore all qualify for the welfare of God's mercy and healing us of any sin problems >

Jesus is our Great Physician who can heal us of any evil feelings and wrong preferences and dominating drives in us. Jesus wants us to have hope of being healed of any problems we have because of sin.

But there is a form of Woke which excuses certain wrong people to keep doing what is evil. Yes, such people need to be treated kindly, but not excused to keep doing what is bad.

And therefore it is discrimination to say there is no hope of certain people being healed of their sin problems, while others of us do have hope. And Woke does claim that certain evil doers are ok and do not need how Jesus died for us > this is a hate crime, to say that any wrong person does not need Jesus.

So, Woke is a hate doctrine, if it is saying that certain groups of people can not be expected to change from their sinning. And it is discrimination, how certain Woke people say certain wrong people can not be expected to be healed by God into how Jesus has us become and love.

So, yes gays should be treated right, but we must not discriminate against them by claiming they don't need the forgiveness of Jesus on the cross while the rest of us do need forgiveness. And do not discriminate against them by thinking God does not want to heal them of their sin problems while the rest of us can be healed of any sin trouble in our personalities and emotions and relating.

If we discriminate against them by claiming they do not need forgiveness, or by believing God is not interested in healing them of sin problems, this is a hate crime!! And there is Woke stuff which promotes this while accusing people of hating gays if we encourage them that Jesus wants them and wants to correct them to be and to love like Jesus.
