Why not instead pray for an end to violence? Do you know that these people are brainwashed, at a very early age?. Why do they need killed? Why pray for that? Wouldnt love ask us to pray for their repentance?
We can pray that violence will NOT be needed, BUT it must be realized in this fallen world that sometimes it will be.

The only other option than killing them is to capture them and imprison them...

I see no other options, they leave us with no other options...

By the end of the Star Trek episode, they had to kill the terrorist leader, and imprison the ones left over that they captured...

God Bless!
thank you sometimes certain people leave us no choice. HOWEVER violence should NEVER be the first course of action.

Paul taught us by example. He never needed a military because his prayers protected him. He was delivered many times from the enemy. Why should we not follow him? Same way with the Lord, he bore our cross, and instructs us to do likewise.

You might think im talking about anarchy, but im not. You may think im anti military, but im not. Im against war, and think the church should be praying, not promoting the death of our enemies, but praying for their repentance.

My faith allows me to see the military as Gods tool. My job is to pray, not fight wars. God will fight for us.
Actually, Paul DID use the government for his defense at LEAST once.

God uses the heathen to fight wars. God fights the war, not us. Paul is very clear, our weapons of warfare are not carnal, though we walk in the flesh we do not war in the flesh.

I would. However, there is a difference between a psychotic killer, and a war. How many civilians have we killed in the past? Perhaps there is a better way. Prayer. Im sorry, i just cannot reconcile dropping bombs with the Gospel.
Yes civilians die in war. Always have and always will until Jesus returns, BUT there are times when more civilians would die without war.

Forgive me if if i'm in the wrong forum with this. If i am please let me know and i'll have staff move it. Thank you.

This thread addresses the morality of war. How can we support war? Shouldn't we be praying instead of bombing people?

First, who is this "we" you're talking about? Define the "we" you mean.

Paul must be bold here. Please heed his words.

2 Corinthians 10New King James Version (NKJV)
The Spiritual War
10 Now I, Paul, myself am pleading with you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ—who in presence am lowly among you, but being absent am bold toward you. 2 But I beg you that when I am present I may not be bold with that confidence by which I intend to be bold against some, who think of us as if we walked according to the flesh. 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

So should we not pray for those that are fighting FOR us since they are heathens and thus oppose God.

Sure we should pray.
but you just said that they are used by God to fight for us so without them we would not be protected.

I dont own a gun, so i would need to let my dog chew on him while i knocked him out. See, my faith is in prayer, not guns. I believe i have addressed this topic with a lot of meat. What about prayer. Does it work? maybe i wont need to kill anyone if my faith and prayers are effective. Also, why does Paul say that our weapons are not carnal? Perhaps prayer is the answer?
so would you have an issue if someone WITH a gun saved your life if you got into trouble on the road or out in public or would you be mad that violence was used on your behalf?

but you just said that they are used by God to fight for us so without them we would not be protected.
All through SCRIPTURE, God used heathens as HE PLEASED,
even to attack and defeat HIS PEOPLE - to punish them.

Then GOD punished the heathens for attacking Israel.

Today, GOD uses every nation to accomplish HIS PURPOSE - all the heathen nations are daily at war or prepared for war. (All but 12 countries, or 11, are at war TODAY)

In every nation, GOD set apart a remnant for HIMSELF, hidden under HIS wings, kept by HIS WORD, as JESUS prayed it so to be.
So no one ,
in any nation,
has excuse for being violent....

what i mean is, there is a difference between dropping bombs overseas, and protecting my home here. Again, why did paul say our weapons are not carnal? You are contradicting Paul.
What is the difference? If they make it clear that they intend to come here? Would you rather they be fought there or here?
