We can pray that violence will NOT be needed, BUT it must be realized in this fallen world that sometimes it will be.Why not instead pray for an end to violence? Do you know that these people are brainwashed, at a very early age?. Why do they need killed? Why pray for that? Wouldnt love ask us to pray for their repentance?
thank you sometimes certain people leave us no choice. HOWEVER violence should NEVER be the first course of action. The only other option than killing them is to capture them and imprison them...
I see no other options, they leave us with no other options...
By the end of the Star Trek episode, they had to kill the terrorist leader, and imprison the ones left over that they captured...
God Bless!
Actually, Paul DID use the government for his defense at LEAST once.Paul taught us by example. He never needed a military because his prayers protected him. He was delivered many times from the enemy. Why should we not follow him? Same way with the Lord, he bore our cross, and instructs us to do likewise.
You might think im talking about anarchy, but im not. You may think im anti military, but im not. Im against war, and think the church should be praying, not promoting the death of our enemies, but praying for their repentance.
My faith allows me to see the military as Gods tool. My job is to pray, not fight wars. God will fight for us.
God uses the heathen to fight wars. God fights the war, not us. Paul is very clear, our weapons of warfare are not carnal, though we walk in the flesh we do not war in the flesh. We can pray that violence will NOT be needed, BUT it must be realized in this fallen world that sometimes it will be.
Yes civilians die in war. Always have and always will until Jesus returns, BUT there are times when more civilians would die without war.I would. However, there is a difference between a psychotic killer, and a war. How many civilians have we killed in the past? Perhaps there is a better way. Prayer. Im sorry, i just cannot reconcile dropping bombs with the Gospel.
How so? He did, so you are saying that he should not have then?Red herring.
Forgive me if if i'm in the wrong forum with this. If i am please let me know and i'll have staff move it. Thank you.
This thread addresses the morality of war. How can we support war? Shouldn't we be praying instead of bombing people?
So should we not pray for those that are fighting FOR us since they are heathens and thus oppose God.God uses the heathen to fight wars. God fights the war, not us. Paul is very clear, our weapons of warfare are not carnal, though we walk in the flesh we do not war in the flesh.
We are Christians. Not Americans, or Jews, or Gentiles. Our nation is the Kingdom of God.First, who is this "we" you're talking about? Define the "we" you mean.
Sure we should pray.So should we not pray for those that are fighting FOR us since they are heathens and thus oppose God.
but you just said that they are used by God to fight for us so without them we would not be protected.Sure we should pray.
I think you mean "our citizenship" ,Our nation is the Kingdom of God.
so would you have an issue if someone WITH a gun saved your life if you got into trouble on the road or out in public or would you be mad that violence was used on your behalf?I dont own a gun, so i would need to let my dog chew on him while i knocked him out. See, my faith is in prayer, not guns. I believe i have addressed this topic with a lot of meat. What about prayer. Does it work? maybe i wont need to kill anyone if my faith and prayers are effective. Also, why does Paul say that our weapons are not carnal? Perhaps prayer is the answer?
All through SCRIPTURE, God used heathens as HE PLEASED,but you just said that they are used by God to fight for us so without them we would not be protected.
What is the difference? If they make it clear that they intend to come here? Would you rather they be fought there or here?what i mean is, there is a difference between dropping bombs overseas, and protecting my home here. Again, why did paul say our weapons are not carnal? You are contradicting Paul.
