If I were to draw a line it would be with those who are born of the Spirit.
The word of God falls on different types of soil. When it falls on the good soil it produces a crop.
Jesus didn't even consider that these people belonged to Him at one time.

You can't be deceived away if you are born of the Spirit.

So if any denied Jesus after being born of the Spirit it would be a deliberate lie. You receive the Spirit by loving and obeying Jesus which is a outward sign of a sincere faith in Him.

The seed is sown with all the warnings given. Not once saved always saved.

Obviously all of the saved Christians throughout the Earth are not "one" unless you limit all of the elect to one particular denomination (presumably yours).

This is a mistake. It is entirely possible for believers of different denominations to be "one" -- depending on what is required for them to be in agreement.

If they all are true disciples of the Lord and trust in him completely for their salvation, that's a oneness or unity that far exceeds in importance such things as how many sacraments there are or whether your church is governed by bishops, etc.

I dont think works are the evidences of salvation per se becuase you can fake those works, but what its in the heart of the believer. I know many satanists who believe in the lord Jesus Christ. I can guarantee they are not save, even if they many good works of charity. How much you need to believe in your heart. I think those are our lord warnings, we can not be like Judas and sell our brethren or let our children starved and abandoned our own families. Many believe with their minds but their hearts never acknowledge the words of truth. Many will seek their works thinking it will save them and make them worthy of grace, in which it has no value since our lord Jesus did all the work. Others will only seek him only in their minds, both will never know the holy ghost.

Which is why I quoted Galatians 5 and the fruit of the Spirit. Love, joy, peace, patience etc...................lines up perfectly with 1 Corinthians 13 and Jesus teaching on Love in John 13-17 and Johns in his epistle, 1 John.

That is a plausible interpretation, at first glance.

I think we would need to get into the specific meaning of "one" in that verse, or perhaps the New Testament more generally. I think we see various chastisements against divisions, even among people who are all followers of our Lord. But that is a bit of a longer debate I think. But I have heard plenty of Protestants admit that the denominations are scandalous, and inconsistent with the "oneness" that our Lord prays for.
