I use the Hebrews 11 instruction regarding timing. When and if God decides to heal me it'll happen in His time.
When and if he wants you to marry, it'll happen. But sometimes what we want isn't in line with His will.
He can bless us in other ways and give us happiness outside of our desires, too.
He said that faith is the evidence of things NOT seen, and that to please Him you have to believe that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Also Jesus said to believe when you pray that you have received what you ask for.
Altogether is says that you have a need, you ask and believe that you have received because to please Him you have to know He is a rewarder.
Hold fast to the belief that you have received, even when it does not appear. Remember that many of those heroes of the faith listed in Hebrews 11 never received what they believed for in their lifetime. But at all points they still believed that it was theirs. I have known many wonderful faithful saints who prayed for healing but had not received it in their body.
He told me without hesitation "It is your job to believe. I told you to believe you have received when you pray. It is my job to fulfil your prayer. YOU do your job (pray and hold fast to your faith) and I will do MY job in my time."
The general idea I got was "What happens is my business. Not yours. I take care of my business, you take care of yours."
