Republicans typically are more independent and, therefore, divided on public policy. Democrats, at least in the legislatures, vote in lock step and are more reluctant to criticize each other. It's not a secret that the once-famous Blue Dog Democrats are history now, for instance.
No, they don't. You just wrote a long post in which you pointed out all the prominent Republicans who have recently broken ranks with the rest of the Republicans.The Republicans stick together in lock step these days.
And I think I heard just a few days ago that another outfit, sort of like the "NeverTrump" effort, is being readied to start a new organization or news service in order to oppose the views of the majority of their own party's leaders.
