I know by my username and music taste, you probably think I'm a no good scum bag. But to the you the truth, I'm not a mean spirited person at all. Nor am I alot of things you probably think I am.
I look forward to learning more about Jesus and God on these forums and talking to people about it.
Welcome - from a fellow "no good scum bag" sinner who needs Jesus.I know by my username and music taste, you probably think I'm a no good scum bag. But to the you the truth, I'm not a mean spirited person at all. Nor am I alot of things you probably think I am.

Welcome LimpBizkitFan and cajunman4life.
Can't tell for sure cajun, were you Army? Thanks for your service. My youngest is currently on deployment in Iraq.
I can't speak for others, but personally, I try not to judge anybody, least of all on the first meeting. And back in the day, I used to listen to Limp Bizkit... my taste in music has changed is all.
As for being a "no good scum bag," we all are ("for all have sinned") so welcome to the club
Welcome![]()
Yes ma'am. Army National Guard to be exact.
The only time we will be sinless is in heaven. Start a thread on your concerns - we are here to listen, BizkitFan.
I thought that it might be the Army Digi Camo in the picture.
God only takes folks with flaws in their character. "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God."Thank you all for being so nice, I thought Id get some backlash.
First, where would I start a thread like that if I wanted too?
And secondly, I guess my biggest question, is it true that you cannot be a Christian if you have flaws in your character like continuing to listen to immoral music and other sins? Ive been struggling with this question for probably a year now; it makes me sad and scared. I know some Christians say you either give yourself 100% to Christ or youre a child of the devil. I know I have my shortcomings, but I do not look at myself as a child of the devil, because I feel I live my actual life in a good manner. I try to be kind to everybody and helpful. What do you think?
Greetings all. I've been a lurker for a while, might as well introduce myself so I'm not that guy you call the cops on...
I'm Aaron, live in rural Arizona. I was raised until about 11 in the ELCA (I'm not sure the ELCA was the ELCA then, but the church I was brought up in is part of it now...), then began attending a KJVO baptist church, then no church, and about a year ago began fellowshipping with a local LCMS church. As I'm very conservative (politically and theologically) I'm ok in the LCMS.
As I study the book of concord I find I'm in near total agreement with it. I lean amillennial in my eschatology, so I fit right in in that regard (always had a hard time with the "secret rapture" thing).
Veteran of the US Military, served one tour in Afghanistan in 2007. After 7 years of service I got out in 2008 (I joined August of 2001, and we all know what happened shortly thereafter).
I look forward to fellowshipping with you all here! Any questions just ask.
Welcome cajunman to CF!; grab a beer from my signature, and make yourself at home!![]()

Are you really liberal? Cause just about anything goes in the ELCA. Have you considered LCMS, WELS, AALC, ELS? All worth checking out.
I am liberal on some things and quite conservative on others. I grew up in LCMS and no offense to any of that Synod here, I don't think I could ever bring myself to go back.
