Visiting Colorado Springs, Any Tips?

Here shortly I will be flying out to Colorado Springs on business. This will be my first time out west, much less to the rocky mountains! I was wondering if any forum goers are locals, and if they have any advice on what to do/see. I'm also not opposed to going toe Denver, it looks like it's about an hour away. I'm already planning on going to Garden of the Gods, but I'd really like to see/do stuff that isn't very well known (preferably nerdy! )

garden of the gods has really pretty rocks, and cheyanne mtn zoo is cool too.

Actually, I already had my visit, I went out to Garden of the Gods and road the train to pikes peak. I want to visit again!

The post might be old now, but I'm still interested in what Springs locals enjoy in the area. I've been to several things outside the city, like Garden of the Gods, but nothing in Colorado Springs proper. Any advice?
