You guys are arguing with another Leftist/pseudo-Atheist who is pretending to be Christian in order to troll us.

A lot of the stuff he was saying on the Christianity Vs Islam thread, I reckon he is of Muslim heritage, could be a leftist/pseudo atheist who has researched Islamist sites, but get the feeling the amount of posts mentioning stuff found only on Islamist sites, he's a Muslim wind up merchant.

Also him and the new member "Shroom" are the same person, post styles and themes are the same.

Jesus recommends that to avoid sin we cut off our hands and pluck out our eyes. This advice is given immediately after he says that anyone who looks with lust at any women commits adultery. 5:29-30
If you understand the context of what He is saying, you will see that He is talking about loosing the kingdom of heaven and saying that would it be worth it to be separated from God for eternity or to loose a body part if that sin keeps you from eternal life.

It is talking about the importance of eternal life versus something the people valued in this world, showing that the afterlife is not worth sacrificing for anything of this world.

The dfference between violence in the Quran and in the Bible is that the Quran supports the violence and commands it. I've heard of this Muslim apologetic excuse all the time it's a complete lie. Pretty much all the violence is contained in the Old Testament which is not followed by Christians, also it's just reporting God commands to the ancient Israelites it's not commanding Christians or Jews to go out slaughtering like the Muslims do. The Quran unlike the Bible actuslly commands Muslims to carry out those violent commands and if a Muslim refuses any command in the Quran his Islam is no longer valid and is a kaafir himself thereby making it permissible to shed his blood which is the reason Isis and other so called "extremists" sometimes kills other Muslims but in reality they are not killing Muslims but apostates and kaafirs. It's important to distinguish between reporting violence as the case with the Bible and actuslly commanding and supporting it as in the Quran. Reporting violence is in all historic manuscripts however only one book on earth actually seems to command its followers to go out and subjugate the world using conversion, Jizyah, or death.

the violence in the bible is calling for the killing of children, woman, animals, all males and even pregnant woman. there is even support for genocide in the bible.

the violence in quran is against opressors, male politicans, male soldiers who attacks first, but if they repent they will be showed mercy. no where in the quran is there support for doing offensive jihad, kill women, kill children or genocide. islam teaches self-defensive kind of violence while the bible teaches offfensive kind of violence.

Banu Qurayza were massacred and there women and children sold as slaves. The Bible only records the Israelites actions it is not commanding Christians to go out killing. Your a Muslim acting as a Christian.

I just want to put this out there, there is no such thing as Islamophobia its a made up word used to deflect criticism of Islam just like how Jews occasionally pull the Anti semitic card.

PS: I use the term anti jewish to refer to racism and hate against jews not anti semitism since Jews aren't the only Semites and for one to be Anti semite he'd have to hate the whole semitic race not just Jews.
