Agreed. Posting videos and pictures on CF is no more dangerous or risky than having an fb account or YouTube channel. Something that most of us have. Besides, I feel sorry for anyone bored enough to stalk me, lol.

Not to get the thread totally off topic I have to say I agree with @mojoboy31 and feel like a lot of us (myself included) forget that other people who aren't even registered on the site can view our pictures and videos and even take them and put them anywhere they please. Thats why I thought about doing a video and since have decided against it not because I don't trust any of y'all, I don't trust people who may view it and once you post something, it isn't yours anymore.

I'm not trying to make a bigger deal out of any of this, but I just wanted to state my two cents, I think it was just a friendly reminder, and nothing to take personally, I kind of feel like some of you were offended that someone might deter the ladies (or gents) to post video messages. lol And of course it's up to the person posting whether they feel comfortable or not doing so, but I also feel people should be enlightened to what they're giving up when they do post videos or pictures, even if you take them down it only takes a second to snatch something.

The problem is that other threads have gotten derailed by this topic, and quite frankly mojoboy was just attempting to start drama, so while I respect people's decisions to post or not post pictures/videos as they choose, it kind of ruins the fun of the thread to continue this discussion any further. I really think it would benefit the forum if we kept discussions like this to other threads and allowed this thread to be what it was intended for. (And also not dignify those attempting to start drama.)

Hate be a downer everyone, but aren't we at all worried about the fair ladies here, posting their voices and faces for anyone to see and hear? Shouldn't we be worried that all manner of internet perverts from anywhere can see these things?

You know these threads, (as evidenced in the past) can be a hinder to the unity of this place, look what happened last time... I mean, what's the point of these threads really? Shouldn't we ask ourselves why we feel it necessary to have everyone looking at us? I don't know... I just worry....

Let's not go down that rabbit hole again.

The issue in the past has been a matter of modesty, e.g. the content of a picture/video, not the picture/video in and of itself.

That has not been an issue here, so let's not pretend it is by opening old wounds.

Anything further on the matter can be discussed privately between the concerned parties. Anything objectionable can be reported and dealt with accordingly within the rules.

Let's move forward and get back to the topic.

P.S. No I will not be posting a video. You guys don't deserve that kind of punishment...

I see it this way...posting a video here is no different than if you were to stand in the middle of a shopping mall with hundreds of people walking by (except the internet is definitely a much broader audience, like those of us who are in different countries). Some might notice, others ignore, and some just really don't care.

I mean, really...if someone really wanted to stalk a crazy, squeaking cat lady like me...well, have fun. I would either bombard them with cat photos or spam them with squeals so loud, they'd beg for me to shut up. Or if they really wanted to pretend to be me...God help them.

Seriously though...I certainly know the risks...and I certainly know I am responsible for my own actions. I refuse to live in fear, though I do exercise caution when I can.
