vice city

This is a new occurance. I ran Vice city last night on my machine. About an hour or so into the game, the game just suddenly crashed! The computer reported a device failure from which it has recovered. What does this device failure mean? And how does it recover so soon? Remember that Vice city is a huge game that takes up a lot of hard drive space on my laptop and on an AMD Athlon XP -M, 2.4 ghz, 256MB RAM machine, the computer fans go into overdrive. Surely this isn't healthy. The fans work non stop throughout the game!

Probably ran out of memory... As with all hardware, it's actually better for the fans to be running full time than to be stopping and starting.
