Three, what makes you so sure that this is literal and not symbolic?

Why the intimidation.Or, it could be that you are completely wrong about the chip and get your eschatology from the newspaper.
Do you use different Bible versions and perhaps study the Greek/Hebrew a little? Do you read Endtime books? How do you study is what I am asking........Just curiousWhy the intimidation.

Yepperzit seems that a lot of brothers and sisters get their end times scenerios by reading into scripture real world/modern day things. IMHO that's just erroneous. John wasn't writing for us in the 21st century.
It is definitely not symbolic because you can't buy or sell with a mark that is symbolic nor can you get a "grievous sore" if it is symbolic. (Rev 16)
It has to be something that is permanent, IN the right hand or forehead, so that you cannot buy or sell unless you have it, and causes sores if you have it. It also has to represent your permanent choice.
Keep in mind that the devil will be on the earth at that time and has to use human technology to keep track of people.
The fact that things like the Verichip exist which can be scanned, store data and track people is no coincidence. I read that it is classified as a Class II Medical Device which I believe is something that was mentioned in the health care bill.
I am sure that you read the bible. Do you understand Revelation in the same way that first century Christians did. Or do you have the bible in one hand and the newspaper in the other, trying to make sense of it?Why the intimidation.
