Has anybody heard of this? Could this be The Mark of The Beast?

Here's more information:

VeriChip is the first FDA-approved human-implantable radio-frequency identification microchip. It is marketed by VeriChip Corporation, a subsidiary of Applied Digital Solutions, and it received United States FDA approval in 2004. About twice the length of a grain of rice, the device is typically implanted above the triceps area of an individual's right arm. Once scanned at the proper frequency, the VeriChip responds with a unique 16 digit number which could be then linked with information about the user held on a database for identity verification, medical records access and other uses. The insertion procedure is performed under local anesthetic in a physician's office.

that depends on your interpretation of scripture. but if the verichip were the mark of the beast I believe the damnation associated with it only occurs when there is world wide legislation to take that chip. right now it is a really smart invention in my opinion, and an extreme security measure and a nice way for the government to invade your privacy.

The 'mark of the beast' has been within all mankind since sin entered Adam in the Garden. I wouldn't be banking on any externalities to yield up the truth within.

In a way I agree with you, satan since the beginning has in a way claimed a stake of ownership over humanity since he decieved man so spiritually he left a mark on us, natural man cannot please God because of this spiritual mark.

There is no "mark of the Beast"

The more people read into the Bible, putting in odd interpretations and ideas that were never intended or are there, the more non-Christians are turned away from the Gospel.

Is there no mark of the beast because you believe there is no beast?

I have. Many times. Nope. The mark of the beast is the beast's forced day of worship.

Every denomination uses that statement (they don't believe like 'us' on this particular matter-so they are heretics, anti-Christs, marked beasts etc etc) to verify their own doctrines.

Such measures have about zero truth value.

Ahhh another "chip" thread :D

Here was a rather large thread on the Eschatology board on that topic and I just bumped it up ehehe

YES or NO: Will you take the chip when they come for you? Will you resist the Mark?

To some? You bet.

Uh, didn't you just do that in behalf of your sect?
I did. You said that this was something "every" denomination did. I was looking for a list of the others. Do you have one?

Name ONE 'christian' SECT that doesn't do that.
Name the one's that do. Name the denomination that uses that statement "they don't believe like 'us' on this particular matter-so they are heretics, anti-Christs, marked beasts etc etc" to verify their own doctrines. You said every one does. Name them. Give examples. For example if you think the Lutherans do this then name them and what they say.

I did. You said that this was something "every" denomination did. I was looking for a list of the others. Do you have one?

Does the RCC call you a heretic for open non-adherence to their doctrinal positions? Is that a big enuf segment for you? Do you do any different than they in claiming the mark of the beast upon them for not bowing to your 'day of the week' sabbath construct?

Doctrinal bombs of every sort are hurled with condemnations of damnations in various sorts by EVERY SECT. So no, the practice is typical and not 'unique' to 'punish your group' for it's DIVINE ACCURACY on the matter.

Ask any Lutheran if salvation is partly of works and you'll quickly uncover their bombs as well.

Wanna go on? Or do you prefer the self imposed martyr concept to justify your doctrines?

enjoy!
