I'm laughing because I remember something my grandma used to say. She'd say "Go take a bath and wash up as far as possible, wash down as far as possible, THEN wash "possible"."

hehe

LOL LOL!!!!!
This is funny. My great-grand aunt used to tell us to "wash our possibles." I could never understand where she got that from. Good to know I was not the only recipient of that sage advice.

oxtail? the tail of an ox? Or what?

My general rule of thumb is not to eat anything that poops or used to poop. The tail is the closest body part to said poop. LOLOLOLOLOL

I am a firm believer that the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, so we must try to take care of it as best we can. That can be achieved through a balanced diet and healthy overall living.

To me, it is not unhealthy to eat meat, in moderation. It doesn't need to be eaten at every meal, but I don't think it's morally wrong to eat it. Those who believe it to be wrong for any reason are encouraged to stick by their convictions, but should not judge or look down on those who think differently.

Well I just want to eat the healthiest I can  I want to live a long life! But I always have fish for tea (well, majority of the time) and don't do enough excerise yet (heh.... :sorry: ) to have more than about 3 servings of complex carbs per day (at least according to the american food pyrimad or something) which I have within breakfast and lunch, so, I need something for tea, and fish works nicely, but I'd like something else other than meat so I need a replacement :) any suggestions?

I am a vegetarian for different reasons. I however do know that God put animals on this earth for food. At this point however I just think it's more economically correct to resort to vegetarianism.

Are you referencing the economy of total possible calories in regard to world hunger?

That isn't a bad argument either :)

Hopefully its not to late to say something. But if we all agree that ellen white does speak on not eating meat, and does infact say that since we are on the journey back to the sinless state adam had in the garden then one of the main things we should do is bring our diets back to the way God first established. And since she is a prophet why would we pick and choose what we will believe from her writings? Why would we not believe everything in her writings since she was inspired by God and the things she wrote were the very thoughts of God, who has our best interest in mind. Diet is not a salvation issue, neither is dress reform, or things like that BUT obedience is, and being willing to cut out anything from our lives so that our connection with God can be clearer should be our motivation and our reason. The lord had abraham sacrafice isaac to test him and to make sure he would give up ANYTHING for God. It was an obedience issue. romans 6:16, righteousness by faith is righteousness by obedience.

God did not put animals on this earth for food. Did Adam and Eve eat the animals in the garden of Eden? No! They only the lucious fruit of the trees. God made the fruit to eat for food not animals. Animals are but pleasures to enjoy. I will say that the purpose of the animals did change slightly when sin entered the world, and God permitted but not supported the eating of flesh, and only clean flesh at that.

lol... ummm.... LOL.... sorry i had to regather my strength after laughing so hard. oh, i agree with the last part on vegetarianism btw. but one question. if god put animals on the earth to be eaten, why didnt god provide adam with a barbeque and A1 sauce? just to let you know... no creature god ever creates for eternity forward and backward, is ever meant to die, thus no creature is meant for food. sin changed that a little though, well a lot actually.
