  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

No, I have not said that your diet is just as bad as mine, and I have repeatedly denied it. This is about you being honest with what your diet entails. I don't want or need and excuse. I have repeatedly denied saying that you intentionally killing animals makes my diet right. I have never said that my religion says eating a corpse is like eating plants. You don't accidentally choose to eat a vegan diet, so you don't accidentally cause the animal death that result from it, and you keep ignoring the fact that continuing to make that choice is inconsistent with saying that your life is not more important than the life on the animals you kill. If their life was just as important as yours, then you wouldn't keep choosing to kill them, so your actions show that you actually also believe that they are lower than you.
Well you have your own moral values. I don't kill any or VERY little animals. Which I kill animals by breathing, yet I need to breath. At least I don't eat its corpse because some book told me too. I am healthy and will most likely live longer, so who really wins? You, who eats corpses and contributes to mindless murder or me, who loves animals and feeds the starving children in Africa. Hmmm...Which one is more logical? I hope you're smart enough to know the answer to that. You're Not wanted on this hangout, byeeee!

Not sure what this has to do with what I said. When you choose to eat, it is on purpose, not on accident, so the know results of eating leading to animal deaths is on purpose, not on accident.
I'm just saying that my diet has WAY less murder and it's healthy. It keeps me young and vibrant. You are unhealthy and you killed hundreds by the minute.

Why can't Soyeong accept that? She takes up pages of her religious arguments and excuses.

Yeah... meat eaters will never be able to justify their actions. And the fact that she tries to make it all personal and say that my argument is inconsistent is hilarious!

Is there a diet that involves zero animal deaths? Um, no, of course not..even breathing causes animal death.
Is there a diet that minimizes animal deaths? Yes, a vegan one.
I don't think this is that hard to understand. ..unless one is planning on starving they will choose one way of eating or another. If minimizing animal suffering is important, then veganism is the clear choice.

Yes, but now you are just attacking me personally. I hope you respect my diet, because I respect yours, I just don't agree with it. We all have to make hard decisions in this world, but veganism was not one of them. You can choose to not support an abusive industry, but you do, so in fact, you are the one who is the most inconsistent.

How did I attack you personally? I have not gotten the impression at all that you respect my diet. My impression from you has been that eating a dish that might have meat in it once a week at a potluck is just about the worst possible thing in the world. And again you continue to dodge the problems with your position.

Also, why did you become vegan? Ethical? Environmental? Logical? (Obviously Soeyong has no logic..)

I'm confused how I haven't attacked you personally, yet you accuse me of that, while continuing to say things like this about me.

You did attack me personally because you were saying that my diet involves MORE animal deaths than yours does... even though you claim to be "mostly vegan." Also, it's not about how many times you eat meat, we weren't even discussing that, you were DEFENDING meat in general. Also, you sound like you're saying "Oh, a little cancer won't hurt."

You could have left a long time ago. I was talking to ilovegod888. Regarding the personal attacking, see my other post.

All the reasons, I am an ethical vegan. Not just the diet, like you know who. How about you?

I am obviously an ethical and environmental vegan. It's so fun arguing when you are on the right side. ;)
