Godspell, an indestructible sword made of unique atoms with magical properties, created by an ancient wizard. Resulting from the infusion of the Soul of Worlds, Godspell became able to be used as a lamp in the dark, and as a storage unit for souls.
Soul-Infused Kandeshen [Can-di-shin] Armor, which covers his entire body, allows him to survive in any climate (extreme heat, no air, extreme cold, etc.)
Abilities:
Due to a mutation caused by an unknown chemical compound, Vangel can manipulate the atoms of non-living things in any way, shape, or form to a certain extent. Combining this skill with his sword Godspell, he can reach great distances with his weapon, etc.
Nobody
During his adventures with Aaron and Nami, Vangel lost his heart and thus a Nobody was created, named Zi Ion. Zi had all the powers of Vangel but, unlike Vangel, he could use his powers in the presence of Heartless. Anyone with the same or similar mutation; their hands begin to glow when they get closer, and a loud squealing comes from their bodies. If they touch, they will cause a large explosion that creates portals into a world called the Chain of Events.
Zi, although a Nobody, was soon after his creation given a heart from the Time Lord, and Vangel was in turn given a soul (Zi contained Vangel's old soul).
Advanced Form
During a battle for control of the Soul of Worlds and the destiny of the multiverse, Vangel became infused with the energies of the Soul, altering his equipment and his DNA. This caused his voice to become icy and monotone, and for his powers to become greatly enhanced in range and accuracy. This also allowed Zi and Vangel to fuse, becoming two souls and two hearts in one body. Vangel repeatedly shows the ability to switch between the consciousness of himself and Zi, and even though both share the same body, he is still referred to and refers to himself as Vangel Ion (unless Zi specifically overshadows Vangel).
Although Vangel's body contains two souls and two hearts (and thus two minds and differing opinions and views), Vangel and Zi seem to be fused into one consciousness while at the same time still retaining their seperate minds (i.e., Zi/Vangel occasionally speak for themselves, or Vangel and Zi engage in conversation with each other). This is thought to be a side-effect of both of their souls being inside the same body.
Also, due to the fusion, Vangel can use his powers in the presence of Heartless, but with half his normal power.
The experience:
Vangel's sword glowed white, energy particles from the air around him swirling around it. "Godspell, it's time for you to show your true power!" The jewel on Godspell glowed red twice, and the soul inside it spoke: "Ye who hath come to the edge of reality, be united with the Soul." Vangel back flipped onto the giant blue orb that was the Soul of Worlds. As he landed on top of it, he stabbed Godspell down into the crack between the two pieces, creating a blue flash of light. Two beams, one from each piece, shot out into Godspell, and again a flash of blue occurred. The mountaintop shook violently, more violently than before. The energy from the Soul crept up through the sword into Vangel's body, and he glowed so brightly that he became impossible to look at.
Then, the light subsided, and Vangel was still kneeling with his sword in the Soul. Now, however, his Kandeshen Armor was gone, or at least changed; his armor had been replaced by a glowing, blood-red and chrome armor like nothing he had laid eyes on before.
His feet were now clad in spiked boots, and his legs were covered in strange markings. His entire armor, in fact, was covered in alien symbols and glyphs. His armor was thick, and had a large build, and it covered his entire body. His helmet covered his head, a large and very strange statue design arching from the left and the right of it. His face was covered by a blue shielding which looked like the color of the Soul of Worlds. His face was visible, but protected.
Vangel ripped his blade from the Soul, another flash emitting from the entity. Godspell had also changed, it was now much larger and longer, and it too had strange glyphs and markings covering it, from blade to hilt. It glowed blue, but the blade was blood-red, like the armor.
