CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm going down to where he is at university to see him for a few days (and spending 5 hours on the train to do it). I have the card written out in my best handwriting and if I find anything I think he'd like before I go then I'll get him it. Probably a kilo of ground coffee from Cafe Nero!

I can dump the parmesean cheese in the trash and use the bowl to hold the pink rocks. Then I can take the tape/dvd of The Return to Bountiful and tape it against a tree and throw the pink rocks at it. YES!

No, seriously, my boyfriend planned this awesome vacation for us and we will totally have a blast. I have never skied so I am excited about that. There will supposedly also be really good Jazz music involved at some point.

I buy one rose for every year we've been married. Though, I'm a little tired of having roses hanging all over my bedroom because she likes to dry them out and keep them...
We usually go out to dinner as well, but we eat out so much as it is, that it's hard to see that as "special".

My bf's birthday is the day after Valentine's Day, and he's turning 22, so I've been writing him notes (there will be 22 total) about reasons I love him, what I ate for breakfast that morning, how classes were that day, why our relationship is amazing, etc. Kinda like a little journal written to him. We're long distance (1337 miles, to be exact) so I think he'll like it
Also sending him his favorite snack foods and hopefully a CD or DVD of me reading a poem I wrote to him

All that I need, is a song in my heart. . .
I'm going to my aunt's wedding during the day with my bf who will be visiting for the weekend. This is also going to be the first time my bf meets my dad. He's spent time with my mom and other family because they live here but my dad lives elsewhere and just happens to be down for my grandmas funeral and is now staying for his sister (my aunt's) wedding. I'm not sure what we are doing in the evening yet and I can't say what I got him because he might read it.

I'm probably sleeping over at his house from Feb 12-14 or 15 (we live an hour apart...sleepovers are easiest (for those who are nosy, we sleep in separate rooms)). I got him "Saw V" on DVD, a card, a memory box (so he has a place to put the cards and such I've given him), and I'm going to make him homemade cookies (I bought a heart-shaped cookie cutter, Valentine-themed sprinkles, and Valentine-themed treat bags to wrap them in).

This will be my first valentine's day with a girlfriend!
Valentine's day itself will also be exactly 6 months since our first date!!
Just to really complicate things the day after she's running in a half marathon in another city. I'm probably going to go an support her but we won't be able to really celebrate that day.
My plan is to get a time shift and celebrate it on another day. I'm going to take her to the same place we had our first date but have a word with them and see if they can do something special. Probably a nice walk afterwards. I'm going to get her a bicycle because she's been wanting one for a while. A nice one with a basket
