The alternative is to simply be swamped by garbage and be unable to separate out anything.

Your and my definition of disinformation are probably different, so who decides?

Surely these big corporations have my best interest at heart! No way they put the acquisition of money over morals! I have no doubt they respect the individual liberties and freedom of others.

I am a firm believer in, "you make time for what is important to you". Thus if discerning the truth is important to you, you will spend the time.
The alternative would be to just put blind trust in "experts".

The human language users. If a certain word is in flux or is contentious in the culture, AI will probably be aware of that too. And when the dust settles and the word's meaning stabilizes among humans, AI usage will reflect that.

Now if AI could be programed to follow, lets say the dictates of sermon on the mount only, then the world would be a much better place.



One would have to define smart and by whose/what standard, we are to be wise but not in our own eyes.
