Using a Cross or Crucifix?

Hi guys, just been doing a bit of thinking and was wondering; do you prefer the use of a Cross or Crucifix and why?

This is not a debate, merely a request for opinions

I am not quite sure of your question? One owns or posseses them or prefers them but use them? I am not sure. Also Presbyterians and Reformed Christians are not historically a fan of such symbols.

On another note, if I had to chose it would be cross given I believe: 1. it is a sin to have pictures of our Lord. 2. the emphesis in preaching shouldn't be just on the cross but also on the resurection and asscension of our Lord into Heaven.

I have a crucifix on my wall because it reminds me of the love of The Lord and every sin that I've committed was taken upon Gods only begotten Son. I know He was resurrected and the same Holy Spirit that lifted him now lives in me. It's just a reminder for me the seriousness of sin and how much God detests sin but the sacrifice He gave for us to be free from its control in our lives.

I like the Cross better Because the Cathics were the Crucifix! I have a necklace but i do not wear it!
