CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I call myself fables are real because I am an author and feel fables ARE real. That the fictitious characters are real in a sense that they are influenced by the experiences that an author has if not on actual people. If an author writes a non fiction piece it is based on imperfect perception of observation and therefore creates something at least partially altered from reality based on these biases and therefore could be considered part fiction. If an author writes a fiction book, it is based on the influence of the world that he knows or another world, but either way once the book/song/movie is written if anyone reads and retains any of the writing the characters even in a minor way make him/her aware of their nature in relation to the characters in the book and based on the fact that it is thought by many that the creator of the universe in which we exist in is not bound by time or space these characters have existed long before they were "created" by man maybe even forever making it non fiction. Fables are Real.
