  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I agree. And He may not have already started. I'm glad to see you are allowing for the possibility that you are wrong.

As I do.

A little heavy on the "may" OhhJim. I'm leaning more toward "Is".

My point is only that we don't know for sure, and saying "may" means nothing. It's what the media says when they know they have a 99% chance of being wrong, but they want to get people's attention.

"President Bush may have a secret plan to nuke Iran."
"Monkeys may fly out of my ear."

You probably think it's harsh, but I get so tired of reading crap (the media's, not yours) that when I see the word "may", I automatically disregard the message.

I don't pay attention to the media except for a possible good laugh. I realize that the hurricanes were a terrible thing to happen, but watching one of the reporters on this last one had me doubled over in laughter. The camera pans up to this flag of the US waving nicely in the breeze, then pans over to the trees swaying gently, and this reporter is holding on to a fence like he was going to blow away, and his hair was barely moving. I thought...get a real life!!! My point being, the media can and usually does sensationalize things.
Let me ask you this OhhJim? What is your gut telling you about the things happening now? Not the news, not me or anyone else. What do you feel is going on? Do you sense in your heart that things are some what odd, or should we wait for those monkeys to fly out of your ears, and then we can make a rational judgment about where you're at with things?
Some of the church denominations are already talking about going against Israel. The church doing this is even worse then our government!! Infact, this arrived in my email today. Read the one about the Divestment Debate against Israel. There is also a prophecy fulfillment on the Christian Watchmen story on this same page that caught my attention

Lol, Nana. You just reminded me of another video I saw the other day. It was a segment of the Today Show (I think) a day or so after one of the recent storms, and Katie Kuric and Matt Lauer went live to a reporter who was paddling down a street in a canoe. From the live feed it looked like a horrible situation, until two men in rain coats trudged right past the reporter - and the water barely covered their shoes! ^_^

Even Katie took notice of this and chided her by asking why she was in a canoe when people could apparently travel quite easily on foot. The reporter quickly tried to make excuses, like saying there was a drop off or some such nonesense, Kate and Matt weren't buying it. They busted on her pretty bad. It was all very comical. I'll try to see if I can find the link so you can get a laugh out of it yourself. http://thepoliticalteen.net/2005/10/14/todayshow

In Christ,

Acts6:5
^_^ That's hilarious!!! It's like, what's wrong with this picture, LOL? During Katrina there was a reporter that kept screaming... WHOA everytime a gust would hit, which was about every minute. Made me sick, lol so I changed the channel. You just knew that the WHOA was for added emphasis. This may sound mean, but reporters that add their own brand of body language and sound affects need a great big limb to smack them up the side of the head so they can be truthful...if they survive, LOL  . People are upset enough through these kind of events, and we don't need an added script.
