Jacob4Jesus said:I am one of those people who believe that 'love' is caring about what happens to someone, that they are safe, comfortable and happy. It means I don't want you to get hurt or be sad.
It doesn't mean that I want you to change who you are because I see it as wrong (I don't) and I need to guide you on a path that is less hellbound (I don't believe you are on a hellbound path by being gay).
The point being, you will always get love from me-what I consider to be love and caring. Never any hurtful comments. Those who say hurtful things, well that's their defficiency, not yours. They're easily ignored (I say that, but it upsets me all the time too). Be happy, there are many people who will truly love and care about you.
All have sinned, Jacob. Everyone is hellbound. It's truly caring to tell people that there is better way of living that leads to eternal life. In this regard, we are all in the same boat, and it's sinking, but Jesus has given us a way to escape. It's our responsibility, if we really care about others to tell them that there is hope.
We also have a reponsibility to correct our brothers and sisters when their theology is un-Biblical. Not witht the intention of hurting them, but to guide them back to the right path that leads to eternal life.

Searching for love and companionship is in fact a choice. It's not always about lust.
