That's really good news! Thank you! I have a question...

Are our avatars going to be completely cleared of items and a fresh start made, in which case we estimate the cost of those items we have currently, or do you mean we'll be reimbursed for those items which we owned pre-upgrade, and which we have had to remove due to the limit of 50 items only? Both. We've had so many complaints from members having a hard time removing their items. We no longer have a way to remove individual member's items. The former tech made a script but it didn't properly work and only a handful (if that many) members were able to get their inventories cleared. So many members have rightly complained that it is a tedious process removing items in order to get their inventory down to be able to buy new items. Therefore, in order to accommodate those many members we will clear everyone's inventories for them. We will give blessings for those items.

But, some members may have items from the old cf characters that are not listed in the current inventory (armory). (I remember items were often rotated.) I have no way of knowing if the CF character items that are now showing in the inventory (armory) is a complete list of all the items that could have been in inventory before the changes made in May. I wish I knew and I'm sorry I don't. So, that means that when we remove items from the member's inventory those items would probably not be removed from a member's inventory since we are going to remove groups of items. (In other words, if they aren't in the current inventory (armory) that we have showing on our side).

We are pleased to give blessings for everything and to everyone.

I have the same question as snooch, and an additional one:

I've never been able to see other people's characters since CF2, and only see my own occasionally, briefly and randomly. Will I finally be able to see characters now, and if not, why not? (No, it's not my settings - I started a thread about this in the report bugs forum in May.)

Thank you for your prompt reply.

I have a couple of other questions...will we still have our pre-upgrade CF characters and items as part of the LA programme as it seems most folk who use the avatar programme enjoy those items as much as the LA items. Also, will we be able to have more than 50 items in our inventories? Quite a few people have been hoping that that number would be increased. Thank you.

I have a file saved from pre-upgrade, which was done with Gregged's programme, snoochface. I don't know which items you had, but this may give you a rough idea of the old costs, in so far as clothing goes, anyway, as that was the main of what I had.

I know of 2 items that I have though that were 100,000 blessings or more each by themselves - one of which only myself and one other person on CF as a whole puchased that raven had to make available as a one shot when this new armory started because of its expense (one of the items you mentioned of which arent openly available under the new 1 blessings things)- Ive been here over 5 years and have been purchasing armory items since they started and before characters were even here and our items were just little icons in our posts. I also purchased every item created while I worked in the armory as well.

Is it not possible now just to keep our stuff and not use it till its all fixed?

You were going to go Christmas shopping, Steve? Sounds exciting!! hehe Well, I did have that many items as I'd been a member for almost 4 years at the time of the upgrade. After the upgrade I went and replaced them all for free. But I don't have all those items now, Steve. In order to continue using my avatar, I had to get rid of all but 50 items.

How do you go about asking your staff to remove the items in our avatar inventory? I estimate about 1,000 bleessing worth since the update.... From before hmmm I cannot even tell. Ithink a thousand will do for now. since we can purchase only 50 at a time no reason to worry about things right now... I would just like to empty out my "closet"

I was wondering if you can get another "closet" lol.....hehehe (file them?) somewhere else... Have the software people though of working out something like that? Justa suggestion....

BTW I tried to remove them one by one and failed it took about 3 minutes and finally the page got frozen....

That's why we deleted the entire inventories People were having such problem selling things and we don't have a program that allows us (the advisors) to clear them out for people anymore. We deleted the entire inventories, re-installed them and now we're pricing and getting ready to put everything back online. It wasn't an ideal solution, but it's the one we could come up with.

Ok would someone like to tell me how to get a fair number for over 1000 items some of which were very expensive when they were purchased? Do you have a list of prices that cover the entire armory? I have copies of my entire inventory taken before this horrible upgrade happened but prices arent there just my items from my copied folders so i made sure nothing was lost.
