  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I went back to the doctor today and my BP was high again. She had me lay down for a minute it went down, I don't have any other symptoms of preeclampsia but high BP is not good in itself. So she's put me on modified bed rest woo hoo :sigh:. I can't do anything now so my mom has to go do the rest of my shopping for me to get the baby's stuff and things I need. I guess it's a good thing we're still living with my parents right now. I just hope I can hold on until we close on our house. She's having me try the modified bed rest to see if I we can hold out until I'm at least 37-38 weeks. I have an appointment Tuesday to check everything but she told me to bring a bag to my appointments now just in case.

So if you guys would please keep me and my little on in your prayers that would be awesome!

you're in my prayers... bed rest is not fun, atleast you are at home, and not in the hospital, and can actually get some rest :)
I was on bed rest... complete bed rest other than bathroom (which I couldn't actually go to the bathroom, the put a chair in the room for me to use... never mind the fact that it was the same distance from the bed to the chair as to the bed to the bathroom) for 5 days after my water broke with Robert... not that you can get much rest in the hosptial with them coming in at all hours taking blood, giving me pills, checking my blood preasure, monitoring the baby and any contractions... that was something I hope not to go through again... esspecially the bathroom thing... If it ever happens again I am going to tell them, I'll leave the door open, but I am not going to use the bathroom in here...

Thank you so much! I'm having such a hard time with this bed rest thing. My husband and I had planned to go out to dinner and to this drive thru nativity that our church is having, I hope that's ok. We wanted to have one last date night before our little one comes. I'll be sitting mostly, do you think that's alright?

Heeeeey! Hubby and I are going through a drive-thru nativity scene tonight!!!

I think so...typically with bed rest you get a couple of hours a day NOT in the bed....so why not just make that your couple of hours? Might call the doctor to be safe, though!

See if your church has a folding wheelchair you can borrow. When I was on modified bed rest, I could have 3 hours on my feet a day. We used a wheelchair as much as I hated it so I wouldn't waste it walking in parking lots etc.

If not I'm sure it'll be fine if once you get home you pee and get back to bed.

My appointment is tomorrow and if things don't go so well she's taking the baby. So if I don't show up for a couple days you all will know that I had to have my baby Tuesday. If not I'll be back with an update tomorrow afternoon. Thanks for the prayers, keep 'em coming!!

Still praying for you. I had our whole group @ Sunday night church prayin for ya, too! My doctor told me I could have Justin as early as this Friday and he would be more than okay, so is that your doctor's stance or would she still consider him premature @ this point? I mean, I know you are exactly a week ahead of me.

Aww you're so sweet thanks for all the prayers!!

I'm sure Elijah would be ok too but I think she'd just prefer him be totally in the "safe zone" being 37 weeks. All she has really said is that she would rather deliver at 37 or 38 weeks. She really hasn't said much more than that. I don't expect that tomorrow will be the day but I'm preparing anyway. I wouldn't mind except for the fact that we don't move into our house until the 23rd and so we would still be at my parents house for a week when I came home from the hospital and that would just be very inconvenient.

Yeah and not a whole lot of fun moving with baby. Oh, well. God is in control and he'll take care of you! Make sure and let us know how it goes tomorrow! When my doctor told me that I could deliver @ any time, I packed my bags and threw em in the car and now...no worries..I know I am ready! You rest easier that way!

Well I'm back from the doctor. My blood pressure at first take was high, they took it again it was normal, and I layed down and my doctor came in and took it and it was normal again. Then she put me on a fetal moniter which my husband enjoyed, I was having braxton hicks contractions and he would tell me every time I had one. yeah he's a joy ^_^. It's a good thing I'm I'm not going to go into labor because he's be watching that moniter constantly and tell me every time I had a contraction and how strong it was (as if I don't know lol). So after all that and the sonogram the baby looks great but the only thing is my blood pressure.

However, she has put me on complete bed rest which stinks but I'll live I guess. Now she wants to see me twice a week until my c-section OR if things don't look good at my next appointment which is Thursday she'll be doing a c-section next week instead. She just wants me to get to term and then we'll see how things are looking from there. I hate the unexpected and unknown. Thanks for the prayers, please continue to remember me in your prayers!

(Patience is NOT my strong suit...I couldn't wait to get home to see how it went!!!) LOL that is so funny about your hubby. I know that is how Jesse will be, especially being an engineer, he loves to see things work. I am afraid I'll smack him! LOL still praying for you sis, I am so glad it went well this week!
