Upcoming MMOs

Ok, there seem to be a lot of franchises jumping in on the MMO bandwagon.

Of all the unreleased ones, which one seems to tickle your fancy the most?

I've got three.

Stargate Online and Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning have got me salivating to the point where I'm feeling dehydrated.

Star Trek Online - not so much, but it still looks like it's gonna be pretty sweet.

Sounds like violentworld has burnt out of WoW ;)

I play WoW, but I am currently taking a break till the expansion comes out.

I'm very much looking forward to Stargate Worlds. I'm a huge fan of the show. I just hope it is at least moderately successful. Heck, i'd play it even if it was single player ;)

Same, wanna step through the gate SO much! Seen every episode of SG1, the first film, Ark of Truth and Continuum. Haven't seen much of Atlantis yet, though.

MMOs are boring. You essential kill the same NPCs repeatedly for several months, eventually getting to the actual part of the game. Sure, that may not sound too bad but the actual part of the game is really end game which consists of a few dungeons and a lack luster PvP arena which I could enjoy more in Quake.
Quake?..Why don't you buy Halo why you're at it..Or Doom..Or Turok,lost planet,call of duty,battlefield,doom 2,halo 2,call of duty 4,battlefield 2...CAUSE THEY ARE ALL THE SAME.
Each MMORPG Is unique in it's own way and If you can't play one you either have had 10 Bowls of sugar or youre not clever enough to attack something without a gun.

From your perspective all FPS games may be the same, but many other people will disagree, just as you disagreed with him that all MMORPGs are the same.

Just from my experience, MMORPGs require less reflexes, planning, "skill", and adaptation than many other genres. Instead, MMORPGs generally reward the amount of time a player puts into the game. I always feel like even though MMORPGs are free roaming games, the entire world is so structured that there is not much room for creativity in one's gameplay.

I've talked about it before, I'll talk about it again: Darkfall Online.

It's a free range world with no limitations. Skill based and relies highly on it's crafters with a highly complex crafting system. The world is free range PVP, which gives it an essence of danger for people who aren't into pvping, and a world to play in for those who are. It's got custom player owned housing, ship building and sea war, huge trade... it's everything Ultima Online should have become.

All FPS games are the same, And are you stalking me or something?
You need to know when a enemy attacks and when to attack back, You need to plan if you are partying with is one of the main elements of MMO's
and you need to smart enough not just too run into battle with a level 4 and end up getting spanked.

Let me direct your attention to my original comment:

Just because I have posted in 2 or 3 of the same treads as you does mean I am stalking you online, what is this Junior High or something? Plus, why would I want to stalk you anyways?

Back on topic, I am looking forward to Love the most out of all upcoming mmorpgs. It looks to be the most creative one, and it should offer some interesting interactions among players.

I looking forward to both Stargate Worlds and Warhammer Online.

I think I'll be running in Warhammer with some of my old WoW buddies which kinda has me looking forward to it. Everytime I read about it I seem to get more and more excited. Signed up for the beta... hopefully will get in for when it starts on Sept. 7th.
