Luke 17:
7 Suppose one of you has a servant plowing or looking after the sheep.
Will he say to the servant when he comes in from the field, ‘Come along now and sit down to eat’?
8 Won’t he rather say, ‘Prepare my supper, get yourself ready and wait on me while I eat and drink;
after that you may eat and drink’?

9 Will he thank the servant because he did what he was told to do?
10 So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say,
We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.

How are we to "go the extra mile" in these last days?

1 Corinthians 5:
12 For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside?
13 But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.”

Should not the main concern for the church with regards to eschatology be the church itself,
and how it manifests to the world the true solution to all of its issues?
Are we called to be watchmen intercessors, or activists who try to take over the world
with worldly ways and means?

Hebrews 12:1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses,
let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us,
and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.

1 Timothy 6:
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called
and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
13 I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus
who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate,
14 that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless
until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing,
15 which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate,
the King of kings and Lord of lords,
16 who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen
or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.
