If it's not discriminatory to require a vaccination card and ID to eat at McDonald's, it's not discriminatory to require a voter registration card and ID to vote in an election.
That's certainly an opinion. The courts seem to disagree, and mainly in cases where, for example, a GOP-led legislature specifically researched which IDs were most difficult for certain minority groups to get before choosing which IDs to require to vote. I'll leave it as an exercise for the reader which IDs they chose to mandate.

I hear a lot of talk about how unreliable election security is down in the US.
Are you watching Right wing propaganda media?

As far as I can understand it there is no widespread voter fraud, maybe a very few individual case as is typical every where but nothing that could impact election results. All manual recounts have come up with very similar totals to those done by the machines.

However, what I've seen is that USA has a big problem with regards to voting participation. They are behind much of the free world democratic countries.
Things such as voting being on a work day, reduction on drop boxes, need to show IDs, laws introduced to make it illegal to provide water to people waiting (potentially hours) on queues.
