Unified Theory of Modern World Problems??!!

Do you believe God would help us to address all major world problems simultaneously?

  • Yes, nothing is impossible for God!

  • No, God is only a figment of the imagination of the naive!

  • Anything humans focus on....they can accomplish!

  • Anybody who postulates a Unified Theory of Modern World Problems should go see a psychiatrist!

It still has nothing to do with Physical and Life Sciences.

Most physicists, biologists and chemists would agree that an all out nuclear war would be a truly bad thing for most forms of life on earth.

If Moslems, Christians and Jews could be diverted toward a lower level of animosity toward each other by getting them involved in turning deserts green.....the probability of an all out nuclear war beginning in the Middle East is greatly reduced!!!!!????

Topic: 9: DESERTS GREEN/MANIFEST

Here is prophecy I personally thought some way to happen:

Book 005, Number 2208:
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (way peace be upon him) as saying: The Last Hour will not come before wealth becomes abundant and overflowing, so much so that a man takes Zakat out of his property and cannot find anyone to accept it from him and till the land of Arabia becomes meadows and rivers.
SAHIH MUSLIM, BOOK 25: The Book on General Behaviour (Kitab Al-Adab)

1.DESERTS GREEN? (Allah knows best)

If mankind is on earth during next ice age (signs from it already there, like Golf-stream slowing down 20% in last five years period, some scientist predict that Britain might have climate of Alaska in next 20 years), deserts of Arabs (Sahara+Middle-East) is going to be green, as they were during last ice age when black Africans inhabited even nowadays deserts of Libya. This has been mentioned in prophecy and hadith of prophet Mohammed (puh), as he said that "deserts of Arabs will once again be filled with rivers and gardens". Noticeably here is for example satellite pictures taken from Saudi-Arabian desert, In these pictures anyone can clearly see old river streams going under desert, and from there founded remains of gardens and agricultural activity. So Mohammed knew without proofs that during last ice age area was green, And so it will be during next ice age after change in climate and rainfalls. But this prophecy does not exclude possibility that humans themselves could make them green, as their actions would anyway be originated from Allah, and it could happen this way:

In Sahara there is these huge "pools", higher ground surrounded lower areas which are these huge "pools" on desert, that some has even big areas under sea-level in bottom of these "pools". These pools mostly are located very near coast-line, and with pumps and pipes of few hundred kilometers these "pools" could be filled with sea-water, until vaporizing (increasing while wideness of "pools" would expand) would match water flowing in, when surface of "pools" would stop rising and around them would be coming huge oasis?s (as sand filters salt from sea-water, when few meters from coast of these "pools" would be easy to get fresh water with dwells and pumps), and these oasis?s could reach kilometers inland as water travels far away in sand. For agricultural activities and inhabitation there would be huge areas to be used, these "pools" would be biggest lakes in the world.

But real meaning of these pools would be elsewhere, because vaporizing from those would be huge in world?s warmest areas with most heat radiation from sun (without clouds). Water-steam would for clouds filled with water, that would be going with major winds to south and east (for example as turned by coriolis-force) into mountains middle of Sahara and mountains west in Arabian peninsula, forming rains at least finally there. It would form rivers and lakes into area, from which there is obvious signs around mountains in middle of Sahara from past times (from last ice age, when Sahara was inhabited by black Africans).

Reason why these "pools" would change situation so radically is that air-masses rise to upper layers of atmosphere from equator, until arriving to north and coming down at 30'-line east-west (at coast of Libya/Egypt), and go from there as winds we notice to south and north, leaving winds going south without moisture from Mediterranean Sea, as winds going to north (Europe) will have all of it. So only way to get moisture to Sahara is to move water-masses from Mediterranean Sea to these "pools" under this 30'-line to vaporize (Mediterranean Sea will have water more through Gibraltar straits from Atlantic).

Only bad side this could have would be destruction of unhabited waste-land desert, when besides worthless deserts there would be lots of land suitable for agricultural and living use, providing living for millions of unemployment workers and people without land (believe me, deserts will be green as long as they get enough water, seeds for plants have come there by wind, in nature-document water was poured in top of dune and green plant rose from it, dying without water until it got more water and got back to life). Here would be huge opportunities for profits, buy worthless desert and change it for agricultural use, even possibly oil could be trilled from bottom of these pools and transported to coast by ships (cheaper than by trucks) or by underwater-pipes (no danger of sabotage). Also water pumping from under Libyan desert would get more fresh water below desert sand from these pools. These ideas can be expanded by even redirecting rivers just before it will end into oceans, so that fresh water of it will not be ?wasted? but used to water deserts. Examples from this kind of possibility is end of Euphrates and Tigris, that could go through Kuwait and eastern Saudi-Arabia by channel to south on low lands. Another example could be rivers of Siberia turned to water Central-Asia instead of flowing to north, as global warming is reducing risk that Ice-Sea could be frozen without these rivers flowing into it.

In regard to using science to help solve our problems, we can't get to the science. There is something in the way, our nature.

Here's a perfect metaphor. Several years ago the county department charged with cutting lake weeds here faced a budget cut. Instead of furloughing administrative staff they cut the seasonal workers that actually ran the weed harvesters (who were the lowest paid in the whole department).

You're grasping at straws too. By this reasoning quantum mechanics is a sub-field of anthropology because it is a human endeavour.

Not at all. Science is very valuable, but judgment is also required. Judgment is not a science. In other words science is a tool in our toolbox of knowledge, but we must grab the right one when attempting to solve problems. Many believe that because science is so advanced that there is a ready fix for everything.

If you said that anthropology was a sub field of quantum mechanics....then I would know that you really had a grasp of how evolutionary theory should be expanded back to something resembling eternity in the past and would encompass nearly an infinite number of Big Bang events!

.carbonbias.blogspot.ca

I actually do believe in evolution but I think that anybody who would dogmatically limit evolution to our four dimensional space time continuum lacks basic mathematical aptitude.

Back in the 1990's I read several articles on GUT and string theory. Later on I read Stephen Hawking's Universe. in his chapter The Anthropic Principle he speculated that perhaps there were an infinite number of unsuccessful universes out there somewhere in which was no life due to the fact that electromagnetism, gravity, weak and strong nuclear force were not properly tuned for life as we know it. It seems obvious to me that another possibility is that the first intelligent life form might be composed of energy. Probably a fundamental energy such as SuperForce or Super Energetic Matter which may be the common denominator for all four forces active in our fourth space time dimensional continuum.

13.72 billion years is roughly equal to ZERO time when compared with eternity. If fundamental energy would always have existed, as I assume Dr. Hawking seems to believe due to his suspicion of their having been an infinite number of unsuccessful universes and probably Big Bang + Grand Collapses, then if evolutionary theory could be expanded to have occurred within infinite time as opposed to limiting abiogenesis and evolution to abouit 4.5 billion years than you increase the probability of evolution being possible by essentially an infinite factor! I do believe in evolution occurring, but I suspect that perhaps 99% of evolution probably occurred before our Big Bang which was probably planned and choreographed by the Life Form/life forms that would probably be composed of fundamental energy.

Is evolution more probable to have occurred within 13 billion years or within eternity?

Mellen Benedict:

5. The Void

I felt and heard several velvety sonic booms again. My consciousness, or being, was expanding to interface with the entire holographic universe and more.

As I passed into the second light, the awareness came to me that I had just transcended the truth. Those are the best words I have for it, but I will try to explain. As I passed into the second light, I expanded beyond the first light. I found myself in a profound stillness, beyond all silence. I could see or perceive FOREVER, beyond infinity. I was in the void. I was in pre-creation, before the Big Bang. I had crossed over the beginning of time - the first word - the first vibration. I was in the eye of creation. I felt as if I was touching the face of God. It was not a religious feeling. Simply I was at one with absolute life and consciousness.

When I say that I could see or perceive forever, I mean that I could experience all of creation generating itself. It was without beginning and without end. That's a mind-expanding thought, isn't it? Scientists perceive the Big Bang as a single event which created the universe. I saw that the Big Bang is only one of an infinite number of Big Bangs creating universes endlessly and simultaneously. The only images that even come close in human terms would be those created by supercomputers using fractal geometry equations.

The therapy of love and enlightenment

I asked if they were absolutely sure there wasn't going to be nuclear war. They reassured me again, and I asked them how they could be so sure. Their response was: "God loves the world."

They told me that at the most, one or two nuclear weapons might go off accidentally, if they weren't destroyed, but there wouldn't be a nuclear war. I then asked them how come there had been so many wars. They said that they allowed those few to happen, out of all the wars that humanity tried to start. Out of all the wars that humans tried to create, they allowed a few, to bring people to their senses and to stop them.

Science, technology, and other benefits, they told me, had been gifts bestowed on humanity by them – through inspiration. People had literally been led to those discoveries, many of which had later been perverted by humanity to use for its own destruction. We could do too much damage to the planet. And by the planet, they meant all of God's creation. Not just the people, but the animals, the trees, the birds, the insects, everything.

They explained to me that their concern was for all the people of the world. They weren't interested in one group getting ahead of other groups. They want every person to consider every other person greater than their own flesh. They want everyone to love everyone else, completely; more, even, than they love themselves. If someone, someplace else in the world hurts, than we should hurt we should feel their pain. And we should help them.

Back in 1990 I came to the conclusion that I was a self righteous, ignorant, deeply religious twit and I began to ask God for wisdom and understanding.....and I specifically asked to be able to play a game of chess with five billion unlimited movement variables against the anti-Christ guy????!!!!

At that time I was going through a time of disillusionment with my church and felt that my heroes were not ready to go up against anybody "wiser than Daniel" so......I figured as flawed as I was if God took me by the right hand....I could eventually be of use to somebody else!??!

As I was praying I put my right hand up in the air and quoted part of this verse....and told God that if He was going to hold Gentiles who do not know Him by the right hand....then why not somebody who was at least making an effort to get to know Him better????!!!

Isaiah 45 (Blue Letter Bible: KJV - King James Version)

Isaiah 45:1 ¶ Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;

If this "Unified Theory of Modern World Problems" proves eventually to be of value........then it is all the more obvious that I was given this from beings vastly more well informed than I ever have been.....or am now???!!!

Science (from Latin scientia, meaning "knowledge") is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe.[1][2] In an older and closely related meaning, "science" also refers to a body of knowledge itself, of the type that can be rationally explained and reliably applied.

Mr. Pedantic.....I am not a specialist in any particular field.....I am a janitor at a school......but Garner Ted Armstrong, Richard Sapir, Warren Murphy, Leon Uris, Herbert Armstrong and a number of other speakers and writers got me into the habit of reading widely!

I had bleeding ulcers as a child.....juvenile rheumatoid arthritis at the time I was fourteen until I was about twenty or twenty one .....so I read A LOT and watched a lot of TV and with only one functioning channel back in the '70's I even had to watch a lot of documentaries!!!

A biology teacher and coach from New Mexico is responsible for giving me the foundation for this "unified theory of modern world problems!"

Is psychology a life science Mr. Pedantic?

So how do you propose to get religious as well as irreligious people to cooperate....at least to some degree with each other regarding issues such as climate change?

Religious people who may not be thrilled with a carbon tax in some form or another may be quite willing to support the production of food even in deserts which would directly address both hunger as well as somewhat stabilize the climate....simultaneously!?

Add eighty or ninety trace minerals to the fertilizer for that new production for the cost of about one dollar per person per year and we are now talking about eventually saving billions of dollars in health care costs....which could of and by itself eventually offset the cost of the whole project, especially when increased productivity and extra years in the work force is factored into the equation?????!!!

Is this basically true or not?

hauns.com/~DCQu4E5g/globwarm.html
Global Warming II by Carl Cantrell

“So how is our problem of continental drying causing global warming? It all has to do with vegetation and sunlight. When sun light hits a plant, it causes a process which we call photosynthesis where the energy from the sun light creates oxygen for us to breath, water for us to drink, and is stored as sugar for plants and animals to use. When the same sun light hits the soil, all of its energy turns into heat and is radiated back into the atmosphere, carried away by running surface water such as rain fall, is carried away to other areas by our winds, and diffuses down into the soil towards the earth's crust. All of this warms our planet increasing its average temperature.”

“Therefore, the less vegetation you have on the planet, the more sunlight is being turned into heat and the warmer the planet becomes. This is very critical because warmer and dryer winds dry out other land areas faster decreasing the vegetation on those land areas. Less humidity in the air also reflects less sun light back out into space so that more sun light strikes the earth and more heat is generated….”

“The truth is that you can do more to decrease global warming by just reducing the average temperature for the Sahara Desert by one or two degrees than if we humans completely quit using fossil fuels and returned to the cave….”

“So, how would you start working to resolve this problem? Easy, cool the deserts and get some vegetation growing on them as soon as possible. But the method is much more complex than that. You have to use the prevailing trade winds in relation to the deserts to get the best results as quickly as possible and it will be extremely expensive….”

“Then we build desalination plants along the coast near these water sheds and pipe water to the tops or ridges of the water sheds…”

“This will do a number of things. First, it will increase the moisture in the desert soil so that it will develop water tables and water will begin to run in the streams. This water will increase the amount of vegetation in the area and decrease the amount of heat being generated by sun light cooling the watered area and all areas down wind of the watered area. As more available water evaporates, it will cool the air and reflect more sun light back out into space cooling the area even more. Cooler and more humid air will have less of a heating effect on areas down wind and will reflect more sun light back into space in those areas cooling areas we won't be watering yet. Cooler and more humid air will also have less of a warming effect on our seas and oceans.”

“Rain water running off of cooler soil will decrease the heating effect on our oceans and our planet crusts which will decrease catastrophic storm activities for other areas and seismic activity for the entire planet. Also, returning more ocean water to the surface and aquifers of our continents will lower the sea levels providing more usable land for us to farm and build on.”

“With cooler desert areas and increasing vegetation, less water will evaporate from our deserts increasing the amount of surface water even more and increasing the amount of vegetation and animal life by huge amounts because deserts currently take up more than 20% of our land surface. Populations will be able to spread out and there will be less competition for existing land areas.”

“This strategy has to be done in steps with the first step being to begin slowing the rate at which our global warming is increasing. We need to focus on that until we have brought it to a point to where the temperature is not increasing any more and is reasonably stable. While we are doing this, we need to come to a global consensus of just how cool we want to cool our planet down to. If we cool it down too much, we will begin to have devastatingly harsh winters in large populated areas and even cause an ice age to set in.”

“Then we begin cooling the planet down to a point which will be most beneficial for all countries or the planet as a whole. We need to gradually bring the temperature down because there may be a lag effect in which the planet will continue cooling after we stop increasing our efforts to cool it off more. We may even want to stop cooling the planet once or twice before we reach our targeted temperatures to see if there is a lag effect…”

“We need to start working on this as soon as possible because, if the planet reaches a point to where it is warming faster than our technology can possibly stop or reverse this warming trend, then our planet is lost and all life will cease to exist on this planet within a relatively short period of time. We will need to start with the largest and hottest deserts because cooling them will have the greatest benefit in the least time (Global Warming II by biologist Carl Cantrell).”

If you think that Mr. Cantrell's ideas are impractical you should do a search for The Sahara Forest Project!

You might like this website!

They have done an amazing job of showing how the Jewish Bible, the Christian Bible and the Qur'an/Koran have a plan for peace between Palestinians and Israelis that can certainly work!

It is based on the idea of the northern kingdom of Israel and the southern kingdom of Judah! Seems like an inspired idea to me!

God's Peace Plan for the Holy Land
God's Peace Plan for the Holyland offers a practical, workable solution to the puzzle of how Israelis and Palestinians can share the land peacefully. It recommends one state with two substates corresponding to the pre-1967 war borders. with Jerusalem serving as the shared national capital. The title is God's Peace Plan for the Holy Land , because the sacred writings of Jews, Christians and Muslims support it.

Please don't be put off by the title,- there is no, absolutely no, proselytizing nor does the Plan elevate one religion or one nation above another. Whether or not one is a believer, it's common sense and courtesy to honor the scriptures revered by the peoples of the region.

This is especially important because millions of the region's inhabitants base their land claims, as well as their directives for war and peace, on what is written in the Bible and the Qur'an.

We are a small group of peacemakers who believe this Plan can gain wide acceptance by 2012. We are setting up a website from which it can be downloaded, and where it can be endorsed. Twenty million people marched for peace around the world just prior to the US invasion of Iraq. Let's get 20 million signatures for the Peace Plan.

We envision a gathering of spiritual leaders in Jerusalem in 2012 to endorse the Peace Plan, and to recommend it to the people of the region. This will help to make 2012 a year of positive change.

With fervor and joy, we urge you to spread the word, by disseminating "God's Peace Plan for the Holy Land" far and wide.

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God

And the solution is what?

A one-world government with a one-world leader?

That's just around the corner, my friend!

He is going to show up and solve all of our problems -- but one.

There will be some who will ... let's just say ... be problematic for him.

Global Ecological Communism is a competing "Unified Theory of Modern World Problems" but I personally feel much more at peace with an attempt to reform capitalism to become much more benevolent!!??

It is ideas like this that actually keep us from moving ahead with real solutions.

Oldwiseguy......I consider this to be an informed comment on my film......although obviously I disagree with your assessment!!!!

You could be right........and if Mr. Al Gore's theory on combating climate change through reduction of carbon is a vastly better theory than the idea of combatting climate change through investment in turning deserts green......then obviously I am wrong and in a sense leading people astray???!!!

Canada's Green Party Leader Ms. Elizabeth May did personally comment on my 2008 campaign writing. She said that investment in turning deserts WAS ONE PART of a full response to climate change!

I got the impression that perhaps Ms. May might want to see perhaps ten percent to maybe thirty percent of climate change investment directed into turning deserts green whereas I personally tend to believe that perhaps thirty percent to maybe seventy percent of climate change over the next five decades should be channelled to food production in desert areas!

Ms. Elizabeth May obviously did not consider my ideas to be those of an absolute rival. It seemed obvious that she liked the fact that I took climate change seriously....although yes....I was advocating a different emphasis in the method partly because I felt that the production of food and elimination of hunger was a better way to sell combatting climate change to conservatives!

Just considering the impracticality of it, or worse, as it could exacerbate global warming. Water vapor is by far the most effective greenhouse gas for retaining atmospheric heat. The dry air over the deserts cannot hold much heat at present. But putting large amounts of water onto those areas would raise atmospheric moisture levels and greatly increase atmospheric temperatures. Not good.

Also impractical is desalting the amount of water suggested in the presentation. Also establishing vegetative growth in 'blowsand' is dicey at best, and at worst any gains made could be quickly erased by a fickle mother nature.

To positively reduce desert heat you could fly aircraft over the desert at high altitude and create white 'contrails', which reflect the sun's rays back into space. Of course atmospheric conditions must be such that the condensation 'clouds' don't last into the nighttime hours, as this would trap heat. It has been known for many years that such contrails can seriously alter the amount of sunlight hitting the earth. I'm also guessing that something other than water vapor could be used for this purpose, as the residual water vapor would trap heat, although the amount of heat reflected away would certainly exceed the amount trapped.

You could be right........and if Mr. Al Gore's theory on combating climate change through reduction of carbon is a vastly better theory than the idea of combatting climate change through investment in turning deserts green......then obviously I am wrong and in a sense leading people astray???!!!

Reducing carbon production is a worthy goal but sometimes not entirely practical. Consider a beer party that has only one trash container, that is quickly filling up. You can do one of two things: Insist that the kids generate less trash, or, get another trash container. We are not going to reduce our carbon footprint anytime soon, so lets sequester more carbon. Of course the best way to do this is to plant trees, create more permanent grasslands, and sequester already existing carbon sinks (one idea is to bury fallen trees in the woodlands instead of allowing them to rot away on the ground).

Another idea is to chip the slash from logging operations (where possible) into pits and covering it with soil thus not allowing it to rot on the surface, which produces co2. Many logging operations leave 'seed trees' that will eventually provide for natural reforestation. However, for the present crisis many of those cuts could be cleaned up and replanted immediately with fast growing species. Once we get co2 under control we can go back to these slower, natural processes.

We also have the questions of who is going to pay for the work, and, who is going to do it? A quick look shows you that we already have the structures in place to effectively execute these programs. We have government structure down to the neighborhood (Ward) level, the communications networks, and a wellspring of interested people who would help with a program that makes sense to them. We just need to marshal our resources around a workable plan.

On the question of who is going to pay for this we really need to take another look at the exact method used by President Lincoln to save American taxpayers four billion dollars in interest payments!

Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy

During the Civil War (1861-1865), President Lincoln needed money to finance the War from the North. The Bankers were going to charge him 24% to 36% interest. Lincoln was horrified and went away greatly distressed, for he was a man of principle and would not think of plunging his beloved country into a debt that the country would find impossible to pay back.

Eventually President Lincoln was advised to get Congress to pass a law authorizing the printing of full legal tender Treasury notes to pay for the War effort. Lincoln recognized the great benefits of this issue. At one point he wrote:

“... (we) gave the people of this Republic the greatest blessing they have ever had – their own paper money to pay their own debts...”

The Treasury notes were printed with green ink on the back, so the people called them “Greenbacks”.

Lincoln printed 400 million dollars worth of Greenbacks (the exact amount being $449,338,902), money that he delegated to be created, a debt-free and interest-free money to finance the War. It served as legal tender for all debts, public and private. He printed it, paid it to the soldiers, to the U.S. Civil Service employees, and bought supplies for war.
.......
In 1972, the United States Treasury Department was asked to compute the amount of interest that would have been paid if that 400 million dollars would have been borrowed at interest instead of being issued by Abraham Lincoln. They did some computations, and a few weeks later, the United States Treasury Department said the United States Government saved 4 billion dollars in interest because Lincoln had created his own money. So you can about imagine how much the Government has paid and how much we owe solely on the basis of interest.

We need a mechanism for periodically infusing the economy with debt-free money. We don't have to overthrow the Fed to do this. A supplemental law giving the congress the power to do this when debt reaches a certain level is what is needed.

The 'fractional reserve' system is a financial trainwreck waiting happen, regardless of the best of intentions. In the mysterious world of banking debt equals wealth and vice-versa. If this is true then replacing debt assets with equity assets should hardly raise a ripple and could be our fiscal salvation.

I have often suggested using this new money to pay certain government contacts and obligations until overall debt is lowered to safe levels. In the present financial scheme there can be no growth in the economy unless more people go into greater debt. It's perverse.

It's like a commercial I just saw where a lawyer, wanting his law office to grow said, "We need more cases." While on the surface this sounds reasonable consider the human misery that must obtain in order to provide those new cases. Bankers are the same sordid creatures. In order for them to prosper someone else must suffer.

How can any people be truly free when they are helpless slaves to a corrupt financial system?

OLDWISEGUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOUR COMMENTS ON THIS TOPIC ARE IN MY OPINION........NOTHING LESS THAN BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am certainly no expert.....I am just a janitor at a school....but one of the best ways to do this that I could come up with was to try to talk the Vatican into the introduction of a Vatican Currency Unit!!!!!!!
