What part of you is born again?
?
?
?
WHAT PART ????
?
?
Its the eternally redeemed part that God has already redeemed and made perfect =(Righteous).
Not your body. Not your mind.

"born again", is a SPIRITUAL Birth of ONLY the Spirit part of you.

Adam, in the Garden was told...>"the day you eat that apple you will surely DIE".

Satan later told Eve..... "shall you surely die? No you wont"..

So, what is going on there?
Adam lived to be 900, obo.
But not his Spirit, in a unusual sense.
So, Satan knew that God was talking about Spiritual Death, and Adam didn't understand this.. yet.
Later when he was telling God..>"we were hiding from you, as we are naked" shows us that He came to understand the "Fall of Adam".

See, God is "A" Spirit. He is a SPIRIT Being who breathed life into a body made of dirt.
That is ADAM, being made alive.
"Life" is the Spirit, and when a person has a dead spirit........its not that their spirit isn't eternal, and alive, but rather its DEAD with regards to NOT being a part of God's Spirit., which is the Holy Spirit.

So, before Adam's spirit was disconnected from God's, He had perfect Spiritual Union with God, who is "A" Spirit.
When we are born again SPIRITUALLY, we are restored to 1st Adam STATE...by the 2nd Adam who is Jesus The Christ.

When God said, "you shall surely die if you disobey, (sin) eat the apple", then God meant, your Spirit will be disconnected from MINE, as that is the consequence of sin.

So, God came here and resolved the sin issue so that we are never again found to be sinners, because God has overruled that with His Dominion of Grace.
"where sin abounds GRACE MORE Abounds".
The blood of Jesus always keeps you perfectly righteous, if you are born again, and not just water baptized.
The blood Atonement (God's Blood) has more power to keep you CLEAN (holy) then you have power to make yourself dirty. (unholy)
See that?

What does this mean?
It means that Salvation is our Spirit being born again. And that is to be reconnected or rejoined or "become ONE with GOD and CHRIST", just as Adam was before he died spiritually.
That is : Salvation or to be born again.

Now, See that? That is all the inner man, or the NEW Creation, that is inside the body.
And this is separate from the MIND and the Body.

The part of you that THINKS, is your Soul, or "soul realm"
Man is : Spirt, soul, and body.
The part of you that is reconnected to God and is the LIFE of the Body, is your SPIRIT.
If you are an unbeliever then you have a "dead" or disconnected from God, spirit.
If you are a believer, then you are born again, and your spirit has been reconnected or "born again" into God's Holy Spirit by God's Holy Spirit.
That is Redemption.
That is Eternal Life.
That is SALVATION.
That is Born Again.

God has reclaimed your SPIRIT, as born again, but your mind is not.
Your mind is your freewill and that can be a problem.

So, the Spirit that is born again, is the "made righteous", and this never changes.
However, your mind is the part of you that has a will and this will can do what it wants.
And that is the issue with "discipleship".
See, You are free to use your mind to do what you want, and that is what you can consider as the part of you, that God has to deal with, as you find in those verses that talk about correction and being disciplined, like Hebrews 12
See, your SPIRIT is perfected, born again......but your mind that is your free will, has to be renewed.
And God works on that, and part of that remodeling is to discipline you, and in this discipline you are changed so that your thinking, which instructs your behavior, becomes more Godly.
That is "being conformed into the image of Christ".

God does not disciple your born again Spirit, as this is perfected, and in fact is "circumcised" from your flesh, which is your mind. Colossians 2:11
Your mind (free will) is still yours to own and operate as you will it, and according to how you choose to use it, directs your lifestyle.
So, now that you belong to God, He is going to work on that part of you, all your life.
This is the "being conformed".

As our Lord Jesus Christ taught, and as the Apostles themselves preached, and the Church has always confessed, we are born again in the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. This is why our Lord said we must be born of water and the Spirit--He does not say born of water and born of the Spirit, but born of water and Spirit. In the same way St. Paul writes in Ephesians 5:26 that Christ has cleaned the Church by the washing of water with the word, water and word, together. Likewise St. Paul in Titus 3:5 says that it is not by works of righteousness we have done that we are saved, but rather we have been received the washing of regeneration.

There are those who in modern times have introduced innovative, anti-Scriptural teachings that reject the historic, orthodox, and biblical teaching of the Christian Church; they butcher and undermine the clear and plain meaning of the Scriptures by saying that water does not mean water, and that Baptism does not mean Baptism. They instead teach men to turn away from Jesus Christ and His once and perfect work on the cross which God gives us freely in His Sacramental work of Baptism, and instead teach men to find God inside of their own sinful hearts and unregenerate minds.

Such false teachers deny the objective truth of the word of God and the Holy Gospel and lead men toward putting their faith in that one time they "made a decision for Jesus"; for they deny the power of God's grace to save all who believe and instead wish to grant to themselves the self-righteousness of their own works.

This is the devil's most potent lie: That man's salvation is by his own self-effort to reach God. This was his lie to Eve in the Garden, this was the lie of Babel. Men would rather erect their citadels up to heaven and climb their ladders of works--to "be as gods".

Because the carnal, natural man desires glory and power and to be his own god in heaven. But God will have none of that, instead God became man. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14).

We don't ascend to God. God descends to man. We do not make a decision for Christ, Christ has made His decision for us: He suffered and died on the cross, He rose from the dead.

And where can we find God's decision in our life? Why exactly where He has proclaimed it to us in our life: Our Baptism. It is by His word that He declares His claim on our lives, and He does so by proclaiming this to us through the preaching of the Gospel, in the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, and at the Lord's Table. Who is it that gives Himself to us in and under these meager elements of bread and wine? It is Christ Himself who says this bread and wine is His very body and blood for the forgiveness of our sins. And by whose authority are we baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit? It is by the authority of Christ, with Whom we are united, we are clothed with Jesus Christ Himself in the waters of Holy Baptism by which we became new creations, regenerated, born again of God by His Spirit and grace alone.

It is not by works of the flesh that we are born again. No one can say, "I did this", or "I chose that". One can only point to the Cross and in humble gratitude bow with open hands, for God has made this sinful begging wretch His treasure.
