Unbelief, is it a sin?

Did I not say the audience changed instead. I think I did. You keep on ignoring that little fact as if 2000 years of the devils influence and the fact that Jesus was talking to the Israelite, who were steeped in the Judism and their own history.

When you have a culture whose schools, collages social medias, news organizations and many parts of it's own political system who are actively working against Christianity and are constantly demonizing Christian. You really don't think that has changed the outlook and of the general populous and made them negative towards anything in the Bible. You have to assuage their negitive attitudes towards us and that includes explaining the scriptures that are being used.

But see, this is just a personal belief and it is not a belief founded upon the Word of God. For if we were to take this attitude towards other things in Scripture, then what else could we ignore in God's Word in relation to how we must obey and conform?

That's kind of what I've been doing all these years. I keep at it, but I don't know for how much longer.

Ephesians 2 is a wonderful passage which shows the blessing of God's grace through faith.

This is not about scripture. This is about access to people. Why do you continually talk about scripture, when I have been and always will talk about those we are going after as If that didn't matter. People do matter and If they are already negative towards religion. If they are already of the mindset that all religions and all religious people are the same. If our own president talks against us, do you really think that doesn't effect our chances of them even having an open ear to us.

Just look at the progression of this thread. I've consistently been talking about the accessibility of people as far as their attitudes and I've been ignored and even denigrated for the words I used as if I was somehow faking intelligence to impress someone. Do you really think that this is endearing to those who come here looking for something or does it verify that which the secular world has been pointing at for decades?

Again, I never said that one cannot explain the Scripture to people. But you are saying that merely quoting Scripture without an explanation is wrong. Did not Jesus provide parables for the specific purpose to hide the deep mysteries of the Kingdom from unbelievers? In other words, there are certain deep truths or treasures within God's Word that an atheist will trample under their feet. There was a time Jesus did not even answer his accusers. We have to be as innocent as doves and as wise as serpents. But Jesus is our example. You change that by saying a person cannot quote Scripture without an explanation, and yet Jesus and the apostles quoted Scripture many times without an explanation. So it comes down to WHO I will believe. You or God's Word? I choose God's Word because I will be held accountable to God's Word and not you.

It is wrong to me, because when I've reached out to others and have explained some of the scriptures and have invited them to read the scripture around that which has been shoved, piecemeal at them for years, they've become far more receptive.

It is wrong to me, because I've seen the changes in the faces of those who have for years thought Christian's didn't care for anyone other than those within their own group, when someone actually sat down with them and talked instead of acting as if they were children who need lectured instead of responded to.

If you want to continually go back to 2000+ years and ignore with the passage of time has brought about then that is up to you. I've stated my case and to date, none of this is even worthy of your attention. I'm tired of repeating myself over and over and I am going to remove myself from this discussion. You have a nice day and a nice life. I've better things to discuss with people who may want to actually listen to what I have to say.

hello Foghorn, our point was simply that the carnal-mind is not subject to the Law of God...
and that without Faith we cannot please Him....so very likely, one would not even be aware
that they were in 'un-belief' according to the Spirit - but, according to the carnal-way
of thinking, it is certainly possible to acknowledge 'un-belief' and to deny our Saviour.

The problem is that you have inserted your own narrative into a conversation and want me to comment on the conflicts between your views and those you replaced my arguments with.
