I didn't know were to put this but since it often comes up with me when people ask me questions I thought I might post it here in the hopes that it will help somebody, or that someone will take it and use it to help people.

A girl was walking along a beach and she seemed to be all alone however streaching out behind her were two sets of footprints next to each other. All along the beach there were two trails behind, exept in a few places. When the girl looked back she realised, the second set of footprints were of God, walking next to her, her whole life. When she saw the part where there were only one set she realised also that these were the points when she had had troubles in her life. She sat down on the sand then and wept, because God had forsaken her at all the hard points in life, in fact she asked God this.
"God why did you leave me? Why were you not there at every hard point in my life?"
God responded
"My child, look again, look closely."
She did, and noticed that her footprints in the hard times were different to her others.
God said
"You see dear child, during those time I did not leave you, I was there. I was carrying you"

The second story.

A man lived in a two story house in a valley. One day it started to rain, and rain, and rain. It kept raining until when he awoke the next day he found that the water had covered the bottom story of his house. Now this man could not swin, and so he was stuck. Two people saw his predicament from the shore and swam out to help him.
"Come with us" they cried, "we will help you out"
But the man refused saying
"God will save me"
The water continued to rise and the man was forced to get onto his roof. Again a man saw him, this man had a conoe and paddled out to try to dave him.
"Hop in" he said, "I'll help you"
but again the reply came
"God will save me"
Still later a rescue hellicopter came by, searching for anyone in need of help, they droped a ladder down to him saying.
"Climb up and we will take you to saftey"
Again
"God will save me"

Our 'hreo' died in that flood and when he got to heaven he said
"God, why did you not save me"
God responded
"My son, I sent two swimmers, a conoe, and the rescue hellicopter. What more did you want?"
