You should study more. There is no way cells formed from chemicals. NINE, NONE. cells are biomechanical machines. Please look up kinesins animation on you tube...these lil walking molecules drag things across cells in you, on self assembling highways in cell...and watch it and tell me this just one small faction of what goes on in cell is not designed.
There are a number of fossils that demonstrate transitions in the ape family of exactly these traits.
Please read a textbook on the evolution of cells and then we can discuss. Modern cells did not form from chemicals directly.
Just because you think a cell is designed does not make it so. What is your evidence that they were designed? What is the criteria to determine design?
How do you determine purpose? If God designed everything then how can you know what a non designed object looks like or functions?

That's what the ID people hoped for; faith isn't enough for them, they wanted science too, so they could force belief in their God on people who would otherwise not have been inclined to it.

This is an 'argument from incredulity', which is a fallacy. The fact that you cannot conceive how cells could arise except by intelligent design is not an argument against them arising naturally.
