Twitter Users Shred Trump For 'Celebrating' The Weekly Standard's Closure

Twitter users have castigated President Donald Trump after he rejoiced at the forthcoming closure of The Weekly Standard.

The conservative magazine, which has been critical of the president, will publish its final issue on Monday.

“The pathetic and dishonest Weekly Standard, run by failed prognosticator Bill Kristol (who, like many others, never had a clue), is flat broke and out of business,” Trump tweeted Saturday. “Too bad. May it rest in peace!”

I was wondering the same thing. No spelling errors, no abbreviations, and proper punctuation, did the President even write this tweet? I have my doubts. This sounds like something coming from Kellyanne Conway's mouth.

(Shrugs) We are speaking of Trump here. They dedicated an entire issue during the Presidential run that had a 'Never Trump' Theme.

My BIL used to take the magazine, but he cancelled prior to Trump being on scene. I got the impression from him it wasn't all that to begin with. I guess they were a bit over the top for him.
