Hi! Still not pregnant, but I had an IUI on Saturday - so I'll know 2 weeks from that Saturday if it worked. I also earlier had my first round of Clomid, and let's say that by the time I had my IUI (and I guess ovulated), my body decided that it needed to tell me exactly where my ovaries are, and to make it abundantly clear so I'll never ever forget. If it doesn't work, I might do it once again, but after that, I might have to quit and we'll just adopt. I really don't think it's worth the pain and discomfort. If I can't handle this, I won't be able to handle contractions later on.

So either I'm pregnant or I'm insane. Yesterday morning I had nausea. All this morning too, and now tonight, and it goes away when I nibble on some stuff. And I also have this weird metal taste in my mouth that comes with the nausea. I feel bloated and crampy, but no AF, but usually, the two start right at the same time. Argh, I can't wait to know!

I like this website: http://www.fertilityuk.org/nfps25.html#indicatorsoffertilityslug as far as explinations go.

The book 'Taking Charge of your Fertility' and www.fertilityfriend.com are also great.

Basically, you take your temp everyday BEFORE you get out of bed. It should be lowish for the first half of your cycle and then spike right after ovulation. It then stays high and then drops right before your period.

thank you for the sites...

but i have another question..... what is the difference in taking temp and just using ovulation tests?

Doctor's recommendation. It's a long story, but I was originally going to start clomid 3 years ago when I wasn't having regular periods. He wanted my husband tested first and then we had to put everything on hold 3 years to figure out what's wrong with him. Meanwhile, my periods are much closer to regular, but I ovulate on day 20+. He thinks the clomid will help that. However, I still had an LH surge on day 20. :(

I've come to the conclusion that I'm a mutant. The only healthy person in this whole ordeal is the sperm donor.

You're not a mutant!

We're hoping for you!
