let me go look....

glucophage and prometrium

what does that tell you?
they put me on Provera to start my periods since I'm irregular.. I haven't actually gone in to see about pcos, but I really think I have it.. I have a friend who has it.. and had trouble concieving, once she was diagnosed and got it under control.. it just took them 3 months. They were on provera, clomid and something for the pcos. If you have any questions, I can most likely ask her, she knows from experience.

i had an ultrasound today to see whats going on inside... the doctor will go over results with me next week... i had blood tests done, too... it looks as though i may have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome....... all my doctors have always ruled this out because im not overweight but it looks as though they may need to treat me for it, ill know more next week but im curious... to those of you who have this, can you tell me anything?
I know i'm posting a lot, but I'm trying to catch up here...

My friend who I just mentioned.. she is not overweight at all!! She is a tiny thing and very healthy and was very athletic when we were in high school. I'm not overweight either and I am about 99.9% sure I have it too.. I will be going to be tested soon.

I'm like 2 months late lol.. but i have irregular periods so I'm not worried, no real symptoms.. I pray that is a good sign for you though!

Thanks though we are actually praying that period comes, hehe. We didn't want to start trying until next month and have been useing condoms. Though if I am pregnant, this will be our second condom baby. Hehe. I am now 3 days post period supposed to be starting, and I am very regular, every 4th Friday.

Hmmm...according to my chart, I had six "fertile" days this week(in a row) That can't be right, can it? By the way, do fertile days stay fairly regular if your periods are fairly regular?

Yes you can be fertile for 6 days in a row if you have the right kind of CM. You ovulate on the last day of the fertile period though, then your CM "dries up" within 24 hours. No, fertile days don't stay regular because they depend on lots of different factors... you can have less fertile CM in different months, and your ovulation can move to a different day in your cycle for a variety of reasons. But generally it stays in the same place in your cycle if you are fairly regular, but its not unusual to ovulate on day 14 one cycle and day 17 the next.

Ladies does it aggrivate you when a pregnant woman keeps on giving you advice on how to get pregnant? As if the process isn't frustrating enough when you have gone through miscarriages, and are having problems. There is a woman I know who is always telling me, well you know this is what we did, and so on and so forth. I really feel like screaming sometimes. I mean I'm like, ok you are pregnant, but I'm doing the best I can. If I asked for her advice that would be one thing, but this is unsolicited.

Edited to add: A pregnant woman you know in person.

No one was answering the question and I assume if someone asks they want to know. Since we do FAM I happen to know the answer so I thought I'd help, wow... what a nice Christian attitude you have going on. Clearly you didn't know the answer or you would have given it. What does being pregnant or not have to do with knowing the answer to those questions? Should I remove my ticker so you can feel better?

The rude PMs are unnecessary. I wasn't talking about you. I said a woman I know. Unless I am mistaken, I don't know you. My post was about a friend of mine who is driving me crazy with all her phone calls and suggestions on what I should try. Believe it or not, but my posts have nothing to do with you. Remove your ticker if you wish, it doesn't matter to me one way or the other.

Guys, lets just cool down for a second. No one needs to be offended by any other person here. Yes it would be nice if only women TTCing would post here, but sometimes pregnant women give good advice. And Lenna's advice was great.

Secondly, yes I do get annoyed at my offline friends who try to give me advice on the best way to get pregnant. And some people who are currently TTCing, have been pregnant before, so we already know how to get pregnant. So to all of our Offline friends, leave us alone!!! LOL sorry had to throw that in there.

Worknprogress, honestly after I read Leanna's posts and then immediately your "ladies does it bother you comment", it truly did look like you were rudely commenting on Leanna's advice. I can understand if you are frustrated but well....maybe you two can make up, I hope.
For the record, if any friend of mine who had children or is pg gives me advice on how to get pg, I'm all ears...unless it took them more than a year, then maybe I'm half listening:) I know I'm just starting out, so maybe I see it differently?

I've been pregnant 4 times, and carried one to term. I'm getting frustrated because my friend has never had any problems at all with getting pregnant or carrying her babies, yet feels free to tell me how to do it right. Today she suggested that if raising my legs up in the air wasn't working, that maybe I should try and stand on my head to help gravity along. A humorous suggestion maybe, but after all the others it just hurts. Then being told I am ungodly for feeling that way really upset me.

I can imagine it would...*hugs* I doubt God wants us to be robots, emotion is what makes us human. We get sad, we get upset - how can we know hapiness if we didn't experience unhappiness? :p

I have (tried to) quit stressing, and I haven't bought anymore pre-pregnancy vitamins. Hopefully without over-thinking it all, it will just *happen* then we will restart the vitamins ;)

At my 20th birthday party the other week one friend brought her almost 10 week old baby. I got lots of cuddles and quite a few photos of the little angel :D

I just started my vitamins yesterday, I buy the generic over the counter type, that way I don't have to spend $10 on a 30 day supply as I would have to do with the prescription kind, and the over the counter ones don't make me ill.

My vitamins are over the counter as well. I take the regular 2 vitamins a day dose, as well as an extra 4 mg of folic acid daily because of medication I am on. I have put my vitamins in my medicine dispenser so that I get it when I get my other. That way I don't have to go through the motions of opening up bottles every day and remembering how many of each to take at a time.
