Welcome Flipper!& for you.

I had a thought today...and I pose it not to judge anyone nor even really as a specific Christian issue but...

Couples who TTC for any length of time, who do the whole (or at least part of); charting, pre-natal vitamins/temping (or even more serious things like IVF or AI) whatever thing...do they appreciate their children differently than those who 'fell' without trying? Wold be great to hear from any parents out there who had a bigger mountain to climb in regards to conceiving their child.

I had this thought whilst wondering how I would feel, in say 10 years time, looking back on the '2006 me' .

Forgive my randomness....I blame my head cold

Well this baby will be planned, my first two were unplanned, and unforutnatly I lost one of them, in m/c.

Tigercub, I highly doubt you could explain your randomness too me:) I meant your username.

teehee

I created this name for myself about 5 years ago, on another Christian forum which was owned by a local Christian radio station. I made a few friends off that, some of whom are members on here too ;) Anyway the name comes from me regularly going past Dreamworld (a theme park) at the time (my house had half burnt down and we were staying on the Coast) which had brand new tiger cubs born there. Complicated....

Does your husband ever actually tell you what he thinks of a certain name? Mine does about one time out of every twenty names!

Kinda the same with us too! He doesn't like my very favourite names :(

On a funny note; I just realised that one of my fave girl's names; Layla, rhymes with my niece's (husband's brother's daughter's) name; Tayla. :cry:How weird would that be at family functions...

try being named after your mother and your brother named after your father. Not only that my nickname, Bobbie, is shared with 4 other family members. Talk about confusing.

Oh no! That must get so confusing ^_^ Nice way to be tied to your family though I suppose...;)

Tigercub, I think it's really neat how your username came about.

My favorite names change every month or so and Hubby almost never tells me one way or another what he thinks of any of them. He says he doesn't want to "really like" a name and then feel stuck with it before I'm even pg (I guess that's fair; why can't men just discuss names, though like women like to?) :)

^_^ Thanks.

I love discussing names, but not really with family or friends (that are/could get pregnant) whom I see often, I think I am a little scared they might steal them! :p I don't mind sharing them onlinethough.

I will list a few of my faves, ones I have loved for a loooong time now!

Boys
Noah
Joshua

Girls

Natasha
Ashleigh
Ella
Lucy

(obviously I find it harder to choose boy's names)

Have to be 2 or more syllables due to our surname having only one.

Anyone else want to post theirs?

My husband refuses to name any of our kids after him or me. He says it gets confusing at the pharmacy in making sure the scripts are matched to the right people - having the same name and same address makes his job very difficult.

We are looking at German names, and names from favorite science fiction shows.

Ah yes the dreaded 2WW, I know it well ;)
Wishing you all the best for a positive outcome AJD495

I started thinking of (then posting) baby names on here yesterday, now I can't stop thinking about them! :p

Anyone into Biblical names? My husband and I already have very Biblical names ourselves...When I brought up Hebrew names with hubby he wouldn't stop going on about a name he loves; Shoshana. I hate it! (sorry to anyone out there with this name, I'm sure you are lovely!)

Anyway I really like Rachel (or Rachael, however you want to spell it) I have since I was little.

My two fave boy's name are quite Biblical already come to think of it...:D (Noah & Joshua)
