I think the root is even deeper than the low progesterone. I think that I have PCOS. If that is the case, the doc will put me on metformin, and hopefully that will fix the issue. If not we'll have to see why I'm not ovulating (which the tests tomorrow will tell) and he will probably put me on clomid, and progesterone supplements. Hopefully in the next week or so we will know the results and get started with treatment.

Well I hope it all goes well and you get the answers you are hoping for... I don't know if you're like me, but I was so hoping they would find something wrong - because at least then I would know there was a reason and do something about it. I've been through all those blood tests - still waiting on a few results but mine have all been normal. It's frustrating because now I have to move on to the more difficult, expensive testing. Hope you don't have to! :) Good luck!

 I have mild PCOS and clomid worked a treat for me, I really really hope that you get some answers and some good news soon. With me I would ovulate randomly some times, and there was just a borderline number of cysts, so it was hard to officially diagnose.
I'll be :prayer:

 tigercub.

This was in the 'Becoming Quiverfull" thread - y'all might want to check out the whole last page, but I thought I would stick this here for you. JGonz posted it.

Someone on one of my email rings posted a very interesting article. I won't cut & paste the entire thing (because it was pretty long), but here is the gist... She says:

I read in Bill Bullock last week about Sarai's (Sarah's) womb and Rivkah's (Rebecca's) womb - that they were Akarah - which was translated as Barren in most Bibles.. but in Hebrew it has a greater meaning.. that of being lifted up.. or being prepared.

For those of us still longing for babies, and yet we haven't seen that prayer answered yet.. hold tight, you're not BARREN or in our understanding - unable - we are Akarah! We are being lifted up, and prepared..

I thought this was REALLY good stuff... For those, especially Believers, who aren't having children for whatever reason, they're being Prepared for the special child! This ministers to me about my Quiverfull cousin... She had like 15 miscarriages and 1 full-term baby died before having her 3 living children. Those 3 girls are Very special girls... extremely smart, dedicated to the L-rd, definately a gift from the L-rd. She had been Prepared for them...

I took Clomid for two months - I felt a little sick and AF was a lot worse for me - bad cramping - it didn't work for me, but I think my doctor just put me on it because he didn't know what was wrong - and didn't know what tests to run. I've heard that it's had very good results with most women

I havent been in this room for a while. Im praying for you all. I know this is a difficult time for all of you. I just want to say this prayer for you guys *Lord Jesus, Savior, please touch these women. Heal them of their infertitliy problems. You have the key to give these women healthy babies, you know the answers to all their problems more than the doctors. I know you can bring forth life. I know you can set them free and fufill their desires. May these women remember that you are their fulfillment and their desire, that they long to have a child in with their spouse. Lord give them this most precious gift of life. And on their journeys help them to come close to their husbands in this time, for support, care, and love. Give them strength, hope, and mercy. You know each ones story, you know their hurts, pains, and dissapointments. You know when they are ready to conceive. You can heal anything, nothing is impossible with you. Be with them Lord. Bless them. Fill their wombs with the fruit of life. In Jesus most holy name I pray. AMEN.*
God bless all you girls! Im praying daily. God will do something good in his time....trust him.

Hi Girls...

So, on my PCOS Forum ... there are a few things that I read about that I have never heard before but I guess some women are using "instead cups" while TTC and some are taking a baby aspirin a day TTC... I'm just curious if any of you try these methods....

Happy Thanksgiving and Prayers for you all!!!!

I would think taking daily asprin is more danger than it's worth? Blood is thinned, kidneys aren't happy...etc

I urge people to speak to their GP or other qualified medical practitioner before resorting to self-medication, or following the advice of other TTCers than could be potentially harmful. Who knows, you could even hurt your chances of concieving.

For You...

There's a site called Miracle Mothers and is a christian site dedicated to women with infertility issues. There is a section called "standing on the word" which seems to have sections about dealing with different stages of ttc.

http://www.miraclemothers.org/index.html

You can also request prayer.

And this is from their home page...

God is good and He brings life (Matthew 19:17, John 10:10). Satan steals life, health, finances, peace, and joy. All of these things, God can restore.

God is not a man that He can lie (Numbers 23:19). If He said it in His Word, He’ll do it. Therefore, faith is not some mysterious force – it is simply believing God told the truth in His Word.

Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. He healed while He walked the earth, and He is still healing people today (Hebrews 13:8; Matthew 4:23; I Peter 2:24).

God shows no favoritism. What He has done for others, He Will do for you (Acts 10:34).

We are instructed to pray for the sick, and God will heal (Matthew 10:8; 18:19; Mark 11:23,24; 16:18; James 5:14,15).

If it is your desire to conceive and bear a child, God put that desire in your heart. If you believe and trust in Him, He will bring it to pass (Genesis 1:27,28; Deuteronomy. 7:14; Psalm 113:9; James 1:1; Psalm 37:4).

God’s timetable may be different than yours. If you wait upon Him, God’s plan for your life will unfold in His perfect timing (Romans 8:28; Psalm 37:7).
God will give you wisdom concerning which path of fertility treatments (if any) to follow (James 1:5-8).

Adoption is not second-best. Just as He chose to adopt us in love (Ephesians 1: 4-5), choosing to adopt a child is an amazing expression of God’s love. If His will is for you to adopt, He will put that desire in your heart.

I don't knwo what Bible they're reading, but in NIV James 1:5-8 says this; If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

Also I have the utmost respect for parents who adopt, I cannot possibly understand how Eps 1:4-5 has anything to do with it?

Argh I think I am basically over being told it's God's will for me to have fertility issues. Like heck it is....When facing the very real prospect of not being able to concieve, bible verses mean little. Faith is someting to hang on to, not out of context bible vereses (no offence to you sweetie, your heart is in the right place)

/end rant

I agree - I do not believe God gave me fertility issues to make my faith stronger. Just like he didn't give me depression. It's just like a cancer - there is no reason God would GIVE that to anyone.

I have a physical problem, and though I do believe God can fix all things, I also believe that he gave us Drs to go to.

Oh - and God never promised me a child, biological or adopted.

So I have a question for you ladies...

Have any of your husbands ahh... felt the "pressures" of TTC and therefore not been able to... umm... perform? :sorry:

This has happened to us the past 2 nights and I'm extremely discouraged b/c I think we missed DTD when I ovulated  which means the last time we baby danced was on Sunday night and if I o'd when I think I did, my temp went up today.

I'm so discouraged. The worse part was, I was really, really, really angry with him both times. I know it's not his fault and I know the pressures are starting to wear thin on him, but I couldn't help it.

:sigh: This is so hard. I'm so frustrated. I'm crying at everything... I can't even hear a baby these days. I just can't imagine why God is doing this to me... I know it's the wrong mentality to have but I'm stuck in the "God hates me or he would never allow me to go through this."

I thought God "gives us the desires of our heart" Well my heart can only take so much desire for a child before it breaks...

Dear Jesus,

I love you and I thank you for all that you bless me with day after day! You know the desire of all of our hearts here in this thread and those who aren't on this thread but are desiring a healthy baby/ies of our own. Please know our hearts and bless us with our babies that can only come from you! I have faith that it will happen for me, I just have a hard time waiting when I just want to hold my little baby so much.... I love you Lord and I trust you Lord and I ask that you bless all of us here and myself with healthy babies and until we do concieve, please comfort us and guide us on our journey, help us stay close to you and trust in you even when we are so sad and confused. Please know each of our hearts, each of our desire and help us, open up our wombs, help us ovulate, help us be healthy so we can have a healthy place for our babies to grow. Please stay close to us as we ache for this and help us through it. Please also help us be reminded of all that we have and all that we should be thankful for. I love you Jesus so very much, thank you for loving me. I give this all to you and trust you! Your timing is perfect, you have a special plan for each one of us. Please forgive me for when I let you down and help me be more like you in all ways! I love You Jesus thank you so very much for loving me first and through all my ugliness. I give you everything. In Jesus' name I pray all these things. Amen. Thank you Jesus. Your Daughter Always, Brandi:bow:
