  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So I started taking Clomid yesterday. I was so afraid it would make me sick, but I just got a little lightheaded and that was about it. DH and I had a really good talk yesterday about things in general - a talk that was long overdue - so I'm feeling really good about everything right now. I'm hoping that this treatment will be all we needed, but I'm also trying not to get my hopes up too high.

lovesdolphins: how are you doing? has af showed yet? Still praying for you - and for all you ladies!!

No AF yet - due today.
Still sore boobs - and I've also been having some CRAZY dreams - I'm not sure if it means anything, but it's weird.

I'm really hoping for you!! Of course, if you are like me, my obsessing has caused me to have some crazy dreams too - but the timing is right!! It sounds promising! Keep us posted! :)

I can completely understand. I did this as well about 6 months ago. We didn't really give up (I couldn't - I was too obsessed :) But we quit counting everything, etc. It really did help with the stress... I guess my advice is not to completely give up - just relax for a few months and don't do anything special to ttc. That way the option to get pg is stilll there, but you are still kind of taking a break. You have to know what is best for you though. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
I've tried the not counting thing too...in fact that's what we have been doing. Though it's hard not to notice when I'm ovulating. But Eddie and I are talking about actually avoiding pregnancy altogether. We would use NFP to prevent pregnancy...so there would be no chance. Or at least, as small a chance as there would be if we were on the pill.

Thank you for your support!

I see what you are saying - I only wish I could do that. I really do think it may help - at least with the stress. I would break down right away and start trying again - I'm not very strong willed... :)

OK - so AF was due yesterday - never showed.
Here's a list of my cycle lengths
Days - number of cycles
22 - 1
24 - 2
25 - 3
26 - 11
27 - 3
28 - 1

Amazing perfect bell curve.. teehee

Well, I'm on day 28 and no AF yet (so it is in the relm of possiblity for AF to come tomorrow)

I've only been temping for just over a week - but my temp today is just as high, if not higher than it was last week. (isn't that an additional good sign??)

I want to test tonight, but I'm afraid of the disappointment.

Sounds promising! I'm going to give you advice to hold off as long as possible, just so that af doesn't show tomorrow (after you test tonight) and you feel even worse. But I know how hard it is to wait! :) I'll continue praying for you! I really hope this is it and af won't show for another, say, 9 months!! :)

OK, if you get a BFP, that is sooooooooooooooooooooo wonderful it is worth finding out as soon as possible, so you can max out on enjoying it.

IF you get a BFN, you will be gutted, no doubt. Part of you will still hope (was it too early to test?) and part of you will be sick with disappointment. A nasty mix of feelings. However, if AF shows, you'll be sick with disappointment too, esp. after this extra hope this month.

So on balance, my vote says it's time to wait for first thing in the morning and then POAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the news is good, fabulous. If not, well, you'll gte the bad news that AF is showing up soon enough, so at least the initial disappointment will be over and done with...

HUGS!!!! And try to keep giving it all to God.

I think that's what I'm going to do - I'd rather have the disappointment first thing in the morning, rather than in the middle of the day here at the office. Right now I can't focus b/c I don't have a clue what's going on, but if I get a BFN, then I'll be anticipating AFs arrival.

Well, it's getting very hard for me to wait til Saturday.. even my DH said to me today, can't you test today? lol I have a lot of PMS symptoms... but they were kinda early. However I'm on CD 26... and I'm having to pee all the time.. sorry if that tmi.. but that is something really odd to me and my body. Usually I can sleep through the night.. 12 + hours even.. and not have to get up, and even wake up and then go another couple of hours without needing to go. But recently, like in the past 3 days. I'm waking up pretty early in the morning.. way earlier than I normally wake up.. because I have to go. So, I don't know if that's a good sign or not.

thanks for the luck. I'm really kinda scared to see the results.. it's been negative so many times.

I know the feeling - you get used to seeing a negative after awhile, and, while hoping, still expect the negative. But that just means it will mean so much more when you finally do see that positive, because it's gotta happen sooner or later right?? If I ever get that positive, I probably won't believe it... ^_^
