Surely, but is it engaging? The beautiful thing about Christianity is that it's true, and if you can penetrate the blinders (I assume your friend isn't a believer), then the seed can be sown.
So maybe consider focusing on the essence of the spirit of fatherhood, which in its perfect holy divine form manifests in eternally protective, all-conquering absolute and selfless love for his children. And the spirit of the good son, who works to honour and glorify his father's name, labouring diligently so that his father might entrust him to run the business and inherit the family fortune. And their words and deeds are bound together in spirit and in truth. God gives us his Word, and it's trustworthy and true.
That sort of thing, living dynamic and passionate, talks to the real human experience not merely an intellectualised and abstracted doctrine.
