There were actually a lot of Jan 6th arrests, and a good number of 2020 election arrests, and a few Russian collusion arrests.

But MTG is thinking about these topics from the Bizarro world perspective.

Obviously, the reason most of these things have zero arrests is there were no chargeable crimes.

And yes, it would be helpful if Trump and his stand-ins stopped talking about these things as though they were about to 'get the bad guys'.

It's almost like Rep. MTQ has been absorbing rhetoric about "trusting the plan" and waiting for the "strom" of arrests to come.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer issued numerous subpoenas on Tuesday -- including one to the Department of Justice for the complete Jeffrey Epstein files and another for depositions with former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

"While the Department undertakes efforts to uncover and publicly disclose additional information related to Mr. Epstein and Ms. Maxwell's cases, it is imperative that Congress conduct oversight of the federal government's enforcement of sex trafficking laws generally and specifically its handling of the investigation and prosecution of Mr. Epstein and Ms. Maxwell," Comer wrote in a subpoena to Attorney General Pam Bondi.

President Donald Trump's lawsuit against Rupert Murdoch has taken a further twist after the pair agreed that the media mogul could delay his deposition until after a dismissal ruling.

Trump's legal team previously said Murdoch should be deposed as soon as possible, given his advanced age, adding that he had "suffered recent significant health scares." Barr is the first witness called in the Oversight Committee's investigation.

In addition to Barr, the Oversight Committee earlier this month issued subpoenas for depositions to [lotsa people]

Those subpoenas follow Comer's subpoena for the Department of Justice to produce its full, unredacted Epstein file by Tuesday, Aug. 19.

Comer ... signaled the agency will miss Tuesday's deadline.

Epstein ... has long been rumored to have kept a "client list" of celebrities and politicians, which right-wing influencers have baselessly accused authorities of hiding.

Multiple sources have told ABC News that no such client list exists.

Judge denies DOJ's request to unseal Epstein grand jury records​

The decision marks the third and final time a judge has denied the request.

"The instant grand jury motion appears to be a 'diversion' from the breadth and scope of the Epstein files in the Government's possession. The grand jury testimony is merely a hearsay snippet of Jeffrey Epstein's alleged conduct," he wrote.

"The Government's complete information trove would better inform the public about the Epstein case," Berman added.

Maybe AG Bondi can finally show us what's on her desk. Apparently she'll be sharing some of it with Congress starting Friday.
